Channel 4 News has just shown a picture of him on holiday in Crete, .wearing a suit, on the phone, with a Union Jack in the background. This is to show he is 'still working'.

I can guess what this said and I agree 😂
TheWayTheLightFalls · 19/08/2021 19:38

Whatever atalune said Grin

Atalune · 19/08/2021 19:54

Really sorry for the bad language and the deletion.

I think he’s terrible. Really the lowest of the low. He and Priti Patel are despicable people and I wish them nothing but a lifetime of paper cuts.

CorrBlimeyGG · 19/08/2021 19:57

He 'delegated' vitally important decisions to a junior minister "coz holiday". Which makes a change from "coz covid" I guess.

It's not funny though, because his complete lack of foresight will cost lives.

newnortherner111 · 19/08/2021 19:57

Mr Raab is not actually the worst Foreign Secretary of all time. That was Mr Johnson.

LEMtheoriginal · 19/08/2021 20:00

Cunts the lot of em

yep
tangone · 19/08/2021 20:01

Did he have a nice holiday though?

PhoenixFreesias · 19/08/2021 20:05

You do the paper cuts @Atalune, I’ll bring the salt

AndAroundAgain · 19/08/2021 20:11

Utterly vile, vacuous, status-grabbing morons. Between him and Priti Patel UK foreign policy is dire.

I feel so so so angry listening to the feeble rhetoric from govt ministers at the moment. How can we hold them to account? I assume writing to our MP won’t change a damn thing.

TheWeeDonkey · 19/08/2021 20:13

Never knowingly misses an opportunity to show how thoroughly incompetent he is although yu make a good point @newnortherner111

I don't know if its a testament to the other parties that the current Conservative Party are still in government or what?

Everything @Atalune said. a lifetime of papercuts, and socks that don't stay up, and he only ever picks the coffee flavour Revels.

ThreeFeetTall · 19/08/2021 20:16

One of the scariest things about Boris having Covid last year was that Dominic Raab was next in line.

user1471453601 · 19/08/2021 20:21

I have to fundamentally disagree with most poster on this thread.

First of all, coffee revels are the best. Also, while paper cuts are good, in this respect, lemon juice, not salt should be added. I'll bring the lemons.

HPLikecraft · 19/08/2021 20:24

I don't get it... these people are untouchable. Doesn't matter what they do or how incompetent they are, even when it costs lives. Nothing happens.

Unless they're having an affair, of course; that's unforgivable.

SophieHMS · 19/08/2021 20:27

Luckily Raab had that fine upstanding Zac Goldsmith to delegate to.

theliverpoolone · 19/08/2021 20:27

Yet another one completely out of his depth. The minute something happens where they need to step up they never fail to show their true colours. Angry

I do t know what you got deleted but I'm sure I agree too.

I'm also crying with laughter at "a lifetime of paper cuts" and teen ds just asked me what's so funny.

Once I'd managed to explain he agrees with you too! He cannot stand Boris or Trump and is fats becoming aware of what the rest are like too!

BigGreen · 19/08/2021 20:50

TBF Zac Goldsmith is probably more competent?! But yes, COMPLETE Grin

itsgettingwierd · 19/08/2021 20:50

@newnortherner111

Who's now PM so I'm not sure that's any consolation Grin
UnashamedLabelHo · 19/08/2021 21:00

Zac Goldsmith can be as competent as he likes but extremist Islamists won’t want to negotiate with a man with that surname. Raab is a lazy incompetent fool.

DarkDarkNight · 19/08/2021 22:29

The below quote is from a Whitehall source. I know it’s an unnamed source, but how is he still in his job if there is a shred of truth to this? This government holds themselves is such high regard despite their repeated failings and proven incompetence. If this isn’t a resignation matter what the hell is?

The source told the Guardian Raab “refused to be contacted on basically anything” for more than a week, and instead directed that “everything had to go to Goldsmith”. They added that Raab’s team had told civil servants “there was an incredibly high bar to getting him to look at anything while on holiday”.

There was an escalating crisis in Afghanistan. It is Johnson and Raab’s job to appraise themselves of the facts and be prepared to act. That they both knew about the situation and both decided a holiday was still a good idea is beyond belief.

When I heard this story I immediately thought it was a case of the Rhodesia Solution being used.Angry
