My vagina is annoying me

Menissues · 17/08/2021 20:26

I was treated for a UTI 2 weeks ago and all settled. Just after then I started my period (late as they've been all over the place post covid vaccine) and its varied from sticky brown to red clotty to red scanty. It's been 9 days and my vaginal opening really hurts Blush I'm still light so not wearing a pad so it maybe irritation? I'm in a new relationship and really want to have sex tomorrow Sad

Could you have thrush? I often get thrush from antibiotics and in particular the ones they use to treat UTIs - ironically

CabbagesGreen · 17/08/2021 20:32

Maybe wait until it stops hurting

Menissues · 17/08/2021 20:39

I treated myself for thrush and no change

Is go easy on her as she’s been through a lot lately. Maybe treat her to some soothing yoghurt?

IceLace100 · 17/08/2021 20:52

Yoghurt? Hmm

Go to your GP OP!

Menissues · 17/08/2021 20:53

I've got kefir will that help?

OP posts:
MauveMagnolia · 17/08/2021 20:54

A gentle steam?

endofthelinefinally · 17/08/2021 20:55

@MauveMagnolia

A gentle steam?
Whenever anybody suggests steaming I think of dim sum. Then worry that steaming one's nether regions could go badly wrong.
Theunamedcat · 17/08/2021 20:56

You have treated for thrush? Pessary and cream? Just cream? It took a five day course of Pessary and cream to shift thrush once FIVE FUCKING DAYS

Don't forget to hot wash your pants make sure your not reinfecting yourself (ive no idea if thats true that you can but it can't hurt)

Theunamedcat · 17/08/2021 20:56

@Menissues

I've got kefir will that help?
Where are you planning on putting it?
Gloomandglow · 17/08/2021 20:57

If it's a new relationship could be be an sti?

Menissues · 17/08/2021 21:00

I used pessary and cream. We've used condoms so unlikely to be sti

OP posts:
Menissues · 17/08/2021 21:00

I've drank kefir today

Kwackerly · 17/08/2021 21:02

Latex allergy to the condoms?

Your poor vadge. See a doctor, any walk in centres near you?

Galassia · 17/08/2021 21:05

@IceLace100

Yoghurt? Hmm

Go to your GP OP!

Natural yoghurt is excellent stuff for soothing your nether regions.

Try it, you might like it.

DoingItMyself · 17/08/2021 21:12

Please pass on my best wishes to your vagina. I hope it stops annoying you soon.

I've posted some weird shit on mn but that one ...

Menissues · 17/08/2021 21:13

PhoboPhobia · 17/08/2021 21:16

Sorry you're feeling miserable @Menissues but this is one of the best thread titles I've ever seen!! Hope you feel better soon.

RosesandPumpkins · 17/08/2021 21:18

Yes this really doesn’t require a GP appointment. Cold Yoghurt on a sore vadge is lush.
Try and wear no pants for as much of the time as possible and just leave her alone.
Avoid PIV sex and do other stuff instead.

Greyhare · 17/08/2021 21:20

How old are you? Since becoming Peri menopausal my lady garden has dried up and become very sore, periods make it ten times worse and using scented pads or the thin very absorbant pads Always/Bodyform etc make it even worse, I have to use natural unbleached unscented one,, I have found that using a cream and pessary to hydrate it much better and I can comfortably sit down, but when it's really bad a warm bath with no bubbles and lots of salt helps to calm things down, but probably not enough for sex tomorrow night.

Maze76 · 17/08/2021 21:20

BV?

fuckoffImcounting · 17/08/2021 21:29

When I was younger and had a working vag, I used to keep a cup of cider vinegar in the lav and give her a bathe every time I had a wee, it cleared up thrush signs like no business - its all about balancing the ph of your fanny. Many friends used yoghurt (plain) but I always found that at bit disgusting.

Menissues · 17/08/2021 21:34

I'm 35 so maybe a bit young for the peri?

OP posts:
CabbagesGreen · 17/08/2021 21:37

Don't put PeriPeri on it!
