Don't know whether to go to hospital.

My went over on my ankle. Put other foot down quickly and my big toe bent underneath me. All my weight went on the folded big toe. Heard a distinct crack.

Big toe twice the size of the other.

Shooting sharp pains.

Can't place any part of foot on the floor.

DH says elevate and ice - which I've done.

Not sure if it's broken. 🙄

Definitely see your GP re: symptoms.

Sounds like you need to spend a bit more time on yourself- but mean while take some pain relief (I'm pretty sure pain will not be helping your bliss pressure) and rest rest rest.

I definitely think your accident could be related to these symptoms. While menopause is the gift that keeps giving (the bastard!) I think you need to rule out some medical issues (the limp and heavy legs, as well as the foot curling under are worrying) as well as getting on top of the meno symptoms too.

Just had two hours sleep with foot on top of a stack of four plump cushions.

Awoken rudely with cramp.

Ever had cramp when your big toe is broken?

The cramp is back.

I've literally had 24 hrs without it. My body must have known I needed that respite.

I think you need to speak to your GP and get some bloods done. You need your kidney, thyroid and liver function checked as well as folate, B12 and other nutrient deficiencies checked. Also need to rule out some more sinister neurological causes. Tbh, the kidney function is probably most important atm, as could explain high BP and foot thing.

I rang GP this morning - they weren't bothered about blood pressure. They said it was pain causing it.

They didn't want to see me.

They've referred me to minor injuries at our local cottage hospital.

I'm not getting on with crutches because of frozen shoulder pain.

The side of my foot is agony when I'm 'getting about'. I'm starting to pee before I get to the loo 😔

Didn't sleep much due to jumping up with cramp. If I don't put my foot flat on the floor it creeps up my leg.

I'm so stressed about letting people down. Wondering what blood pressure is doing now?

My feet have been painful for ages - generally hurt when walking. No wonder they gave way.

I doubt that you were in a position to think to tell them the whole picture when you were there. Take a list of your symptoms and ask for further tests.

So sorry you're feeling rubbish.

Could it maybe be your iron levels? I've recently found out that mine are very low and some of the symptoms you mentioned rang a bell. Mostly breathlessness, achy legs and tiredness. I've noticed a bit of an improvement since taking supplements.

Might not be but could be worth a check?

I hope you manage to keep your feet up for a while and that your foot heals soon Thanks

Oh poor you! I know what you mean about the crutches - I couldn't manage on them at all, made my shoulders so sore. Just wanted to suggest a rollator to help with getting around - I fractured both legs last year, and used to sit on a rollator and whizz around, pushing off with my better leg. So much easier than crutches, and your hands are free too, so you can at least get yourself a cuppa! Or I think you can hire a basic wheelchair from the Red Cross. Hope you feel better soon.

See a physio privately if you get no joy. I've had feet pain for the last couple of years, been driving me potty. Apparently, I have Morton's Toe, which is when the 2nd toe is longer than the big toe & causes stiffness. I've had to change my shoes & I'm attempting to lose weight. So it could be something minor but limping causes problems elsewhere, so you do need to get to the root cause, which may be multiple things.

I'm slightly better off now - moving about more comfortably.

Wanted a pair - but hey ho 😉

Don't know whether to go to hospital.
