Don't know whether to go to hospital.

My went over on my ankle. Put other foot down quickly and my big toe bent underneath me. All my weight went on the folded big toe. Heard a distinct crack.

Big toe twice the size of the other.

Shooting sharp pains.

Can't place any part of foot on the floor.

DH says elevate and ice - which I've done.

Not sure if it's broken. 🙄

Fgs send her home, why is she waiting? Are you not capable of calling Uber taxi ?
Maybe OP lives rurally. Our nearest A&E is 20 miles / 30 mins away and we don't have Uber or Deliveroo etc. You wouldn't get a taxi on a Saturday night from the city where the hospital is to our village as none would want the fare when they could do multiple jobs within the city. Even if you could, it would cost £30-£40 and I'd find it hard to afford that.

She waited until 11pm then went home.

I'm 45 min drive from home.

Sat with foot throbbing like buggery on an extremely uncomfortable chair.

I don't want OP to feel bad. I hope they give her some amazing painkillers very soon. She was in a lot of pain so didn't have good choices, hard to know what to do.

It's just I suspect if I was in OP's situation, I'd seriously want to have waited until Sunday morning to attend A&E. Bad Sleep deprivation on top of painful toe (& high BP?) would not be my happy place.

7 hrs

Should've gone home.

Not seen anyone since ECG just after I was triaged.

Haven't eaten since 12.30 lunchtime on Saturday.

111 told me not to eat or drink.
