For example, for me it's

freshly laid carpets,

rubber rings, anything smelling of armbands of floats etc

Antiseptic

Euthamol toothpaste (love the taste)

Petrol (when I open the little hole for petrol I have a quick sniff Blush)

Pipe smoke. I don't smoke, never have but there's just something about the smell of pipe smoke.
As others have said...petrol, creosote and freshly struck matches.
Zippo lighters when they're flicked on.
Newborn babies socks when they've just been taken off.
This is probably a common one, like petrol, but the interior of a brand new car.

My cat's paw pads. A cross between digestive biscuits and freshly cut grass.

Clevs · 05/08/2021 21:45

Creosote - memories of playing outside in the summer.

Chlorine - brings back many happy memories of going swimming as a kid.

And old books and musty churches. I also love to chew a damp flannel.

@JorisBonson

Another petrol smeller here!

Also vintage shops, my cats fur, just put out matches and the inside of party poppers after they've been popped

This reminds me of my DF who always used to put spent party poppers on the end of his nose to appre the smell 😂

The smell of washing after I've forgotten to take it out of the washing machine. I also really enjoy the smell of the butterfly house at Whipsnade Zoo. It had the same moist, stale/stagnant smell of forgotten washing.

I love sucking and chewing on sponges- they taste like how forgotten washing smells 😆

All these dog cheeks posts are making want to sniff my cats cheeks but she'll probably bite my face off if I try ☹️

Body Shop, this must be going back 20 years, used to have a grey round musky soap bar which had dark spots. White musk? It was divine.

WorldsBestBoss · 05/08/2021 22:17

Gawd this is like porn 😂

So many amazing smells - creosote high up on my list.

A long time ago, but the smell of my baby's wet nappy - only my own baby though. I used to find it a homely smell.

Antsinyourpanta · 05/08/2021 22:19

Savlon (cream)
