What's a smell you love that's odd/unusual?

For example, for me it's

freshly laid carpets,

rubber rings, anything smelling of armbands of floats etc

Antiseptic

Euthamol toothpaste (love the taste)

Petrol (when I open the little hole for petrol I have a quick sniff )

The inner pages near the stem of a glossy magazine
My DH in general
My kids’ heads
Oh and their feet
Clean laundry
The skin on my arms when I’ve been in the sun
Lots of kinds of leather

Brand new inflatables
Permanent markers
That plastic smell that cheap lipsticks have
Play dough

Oooh, I forgot the smell of party poppers (after they're popped) and matches

New cheap flip flops , the plasticy sandal section in primark is heaven.

Swarfegger. Probably not spelt correctly!

My dogs ears

Petrol but I think that’s a common one as a lot of people are drawn to it for some reason.

Also toast or coffee, just the smell of it in the air.

My dogs paws which smell like Cool Doritos and also her ears. I don't know why. I guess she's like my baby and I used to love smelling my daughters feet when she was little.

Vicks vaporub is up high on my list too, it reminds me of my mother who liked eating it, she averaged at least a tub per day

Cat’s fur
An ex used to smell amazing especially after he went cycling - couldn’t stop smelling him! His family home also smelt of him. It was unique and no other smell resembles it at all - I’d know it anywhere.

Also I LOVE lilac in spring though it’s not unusual to like that I suppose. If I walk past a flowering lilac I stay for ages just sniffing it. I thought this would mean I’d like lilac perfume but they never have that smell. It feel like something liquid and sweet just shooting right into my brain, I love it.

I like the way my forearms smell when they've been in the sun (not with sun cream on, that'd ruin it).

Toasted hazelnuts.

Some plastic cables, like plug cables or extension cables have a great smell, but I think because they remind me of my dad.

Linden blossom.

Not sure if it’s weird or not?
But I love the smell of chlorine and bleach (always love it but especially when I was pregnant! )
Also hairspray, and the smell when a (clean) flannel is damp!

@GertrudeKerfuffle Linden blossom I wholeheartedly agree. We have many of those trees on our dogs walk and the smell is divine! It took me a while to work out just what the scent was. I want to get a candle or room spray in that scent.

I don't know if it's unusual but the smell of putty, or probably the linseed oil that keeps it pliable. It just reminds me of my dad putting in windows. It's a comforting smell.

I used to love the hot electrical smell of the back of the TV when I was a child...

I'd forgotten about that! Love it.

I dislike the smell of cigarettes but love the smell of cigars. Feels rich and strong and comforting.

I don't smoke and neither do my family or people I mix with, so don't know where I got that from.

The Paris metro.

I once spent a happy half hour with my nose plunged into a new trainer - the foam insole smelled heavenly!
