Antiseptic

Euthamol toothpaste (love the taste)

Petrol (when I open the little hole for petrol I have a quick sniff Blush)

I often drive past a branch of a builders’ merchants. I always open the window because the smell of the piles of wood stacked outside is just lovely.

The 'sides' of my dog's nose - I can't put my finger in what the smell is - it's like cinnamon Grin

AuntMasha · 05/08/2021 19:52

When I was a child - the smell of my Dad’s shed.

Bonfires in the early autumn.

tnetenba · 05/08/2021 19:53

I also put my Baby's first hat in a little zip bag as the small was just soooo good. It was covered in blood and general rankness after he was born. Tried to have a sniff the other day and either the smells gone or I'm not as hormonal anymore. Weirdly it made me feel like a mother lioness and I really felt the urge to put my baby 'cub' in a bush to hide and protect him.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord

Playdoh

Love it but must be homemade. I use to eat it as a child Grin

I was most disheartened when they changed the recipe to PritStick glue... they made it taste like perfume... I use to eat it as a child

Yes I agree with this!

Also love the smell when it rains on a hot day.

Really cheap wrapping paper, the type that comes in sheets and isn't glossy- reminds me of Christmas as a child.

Creosote
Petrol
Pritt-stick
Between my dogs eyes (may he rest in peace)
Nail varnish

I love the smell of my own fart . I use my hand to direct the smell and when I'm in bed I put my nose under the blanket.

I really do like the smell of rain

TheBullfinch · 05/08/2021 19:58

My cat's paws

Petrol

Parafin

Orange

Farm yards (reminds me of being little)

HurryUpAndWait23 · 05/08/2021 19:58

Oh and caps/a pulled cracker.

gettingalife · 05/08/2021 19:58

Cigarette smoke when someone else is smoking. Parents were smokers when I was a child and evokes happy memories. I must have been a massive passive smoker in hindsight! Also reminds me of boyfriends from the 1980s. That lingering smell of fagsWink

Boiledcabbages · 05/08/2021 19:59

The smell of my dogs paw pads, they smell of digestive biscuits.
All horse smells including their farts Smile

SerenShine · 05/08/2021 20:00

@CheerfulBunny

Big thumbs up for dog's cheeks. My dear departed eldest dog's cheeks were divine, the younger one just stank of dirty ears and boy dog, bless him. Also - hamster feet. Smells of popcorn.
Aw there's something wonderful about them. My rescue dog is not keen on his cheeks being sniffed but my old labs cheeks, like you day, divine ❤.
ZealAndArdour · 05/08/2021 20:00

TCP.
New plastic pencil cases.
New text books, like the kind where the paper is kind of shiny.
My DP’s natural smell, it’s so comforting and gives me a weird rush of love for him.
Coal tar.
Freshly painted rooms.
Linseed Oil mentioned by PP, because it reminds me of fresh oil based intaglio ink.

Borka · 05/08/2021 20:02

Tomato plant foliage on a hot day

The inside of antique wardrobes

waterlego · 05/08/2021 20:03

I don’t know if this is weird or common but I like the smell of certain catalogues/brochures, especially posh ones 😆 I don’t know if it’s the ink or the paper, but it’s lovely. I think this was triggered in one of my pregnancies and I still love it now. Not all of them have the ‘right’ smell though. I always have a sniff of a brochure and am sometimes disappointed, but if I find a good one, I’ll keep going back for another go.

waitingforsun · 05/08/2021 20:03

My dog's popcorn feet when she's been sleeping curled up Smile

Afonavon · 05/08/2021 20:05

Back of my watch.

My farts 🙈

ZealAndArdour · 05/08/2021 20:05

Agree with brochures and catalogues, I think it’s the same smell I was alluding to me in my textbook one.

Also fond of the smell of electrical stuff when it’s in use and got warm. BRB, off to sniff the back of the WiFi router.

larkstar · 05/08/2021 20:06

Zesty zingy limes.

Motherofcats007 · 05/08/2021 20:07

Chlorine. Or is that a common thing?

Biscoffin · 05/08/2021 20:08

Brasso metal polish.
