I know the year but wondered if you do too? I'm just framing it up now and it means a lot to me - I wear the wedding ring that this lady will be wearing in the pic.

The fashion maybe gives it away Grin

The fashion makes me think 20's

KittytheHare · 02/08/2021 17:25

Early 1920s?

pigeonhole · 02/08/2021 17:25

20s

freelions · 02/08/2021 17:26

Great photo!

1925?

woodhill · 02/08/2021 17:26

1920s?

Disfordarkchocolate · 02/08/2021 17:27

1922 is my guess.

SquirryTheSquirrel · 02/08/2021 17:28

I'd guess late 1920s/early 1930s. I'll go for 1931.

MavisBeaconTeachesTaiChi · 02/08/2021 17:29

I think very early 1920s too.

Geamhradh · 02/08/2021 17:30

It looks pretty much like my grandparents' wedding pics. They were born in 1903 and 1909 respectively, so wedding I imagine late 20s early 30s.

Westfacing · 02/08/2021 17:32

1922

Lovely photo

Words · 02/08/2021 17:32

Late 20s early 30s.

PercyPigAndMe · 02/08/2021 17:34

Ah you're all too good!

It's a lovely photo isn't it? I love the headwear and the bloke at the back with his pipe.

It's my great grandma and grandad

1928? But it's hard to tell because people at weddings often wear stuff from a different era

MichelleScarn · 02/08/2021 17:36

I think very early 20s too,

FoxgloveSummers · 02/08/2021 17:36

X post! It's a lovely picture and seems quite relaxed compared to the posed wedding photos I've seen from that time. Do you know where it was taken e.g. in a studio or at home?

PercyPigAndMe · 02/08/2021 17:43

I'm pretty sure it was taken outside their home tbh. A couple of them are even smiling so we were clearly coming out of the fashion for a stern face in photos like the victorians

It's beautiful and you've prompted me to think about getting all mine framed.
TheLovelinessOfDemons · 02/08/2021 17:45

1920s?

SquirryTheSquirrel · 02/08/2021 17:47

It's a lovely picture. Your great grandmother is so pretty.

MindYourLanguage · 02/08/2021 17:47

I think it might be a little earlier. The brides hairstyle (hair frame with wide flowered headpiece). The wide brim hats on the other ladies tends to favour a little earlier than 1920's - but not by much.

I thought that too, that some of the hats and the veil looked maybe a bit earlier, but most people wouldn't necessarily be buying a whole new outfit and at a wedding (then or now) most people will be wearing their "best" whether they bought it last week or 20 years ago!
Pavlova31 · 02/08/2021 17:56

Lovely picture Op and how nice that her ring is still in the family Smile

freelions · 02/08/2021 18:10

Do I get a 'one year out' t-shirt @PercyPigAndMe? Grin

HannaHat · 02/08/2021 18:14

Ooh I was going to guess 1925, lovely photo 😊

Serenissima21 · 02/08/2021 18:16

I guessed 22 and am pleased with that! Lovely photo.
