I know the year but wondered if you do too? I'm just framing it up now and it means a lot to me - I wear the wedding ring that this lady will be wearing in the pic.

The fashion maybe gives it away Grin

I think the bride's style is the giveaway - if you look at photographs of the Queen Mother, who married in 1923, she has the same sort of veil, almost pinned to her head. The family might be wearing their Sunday best, which is maybe a few years old, but chances are the bride's going to be up to date!

@freelions ha yes. It's in the post 😀

Yep definitely 1924 and I did know my great grandma. She died in 1986 when I was a teenager but she was a lovely, gentle and quiet lady. My great grandad died in 1973 so I have little recollection of him. I'm so pleased for ended up with her wedding ring .. which actually dates to 1799 so he clearly purchased it second hand.

I'm fascinated by family history and have lots of bits and pieces.

@Geamhradh ooh do it. Choose one and have it framed. It's just nice to have popped on the side

Yes, family history is so interesting. I've just visited the area where my dgf was born, never been before

I have my grandparents' wartime wedding framed and it is sitting on top of my piano. Makes me happy to see it.
