I appreciate that a lot will be salary, but if you worked it out, what do you earn an hour?

pantsdants · 01/08/2021 23:31

hr!

PattyPan · 01/08/2021 23:35

I’m salaried - £20 an hour for my contracted hours. About £15 an hour for what I’ve been working lately (no overtime pay). 26, irrelevant degree and masters.

I'm a freelancer working for different people and working on my own projects: anywhere from £15-£50ph depending on the project although the £50ph is including prep-work so it probably works out at £15ph overall. Generally I've found that the going work for the rate I do is about £17ph at the moment. Obviously this is pre-tax so realistically that's about £13.60 not including business expenses.

I'm 22, and I don't have a degree but I'm currently studying two (!) undergrads at the same time.

noblegreenk · 01/08/2021 23:59

I'm 36 working in an office admin type role - £13.82ph

PickAChew · 01/08/2021 23:59

Shite all.

Bellabelloo · 02/08/2021 00:03

I'm 43 and run my own business and had never worked it out by the hour before. Some years I have earned nothing. Made a loss. This past year I earned about £83 an hour! So that makes up for the years of scraping by!

idontlikealdi · 02/08/2021 00:03

Well I'm charged out at £250, my smart beaks down to around £120

Sanguinesuzy · 02/08/2021 00:12

BlackeyedSusan · 02/08/2021 00:37

NekoShiro · 02/08/2021 00:38

29 £8.20 an hour but that was before I lost my job recently now it's £2 an hour if I'm lucky

pinatastick · 02/08/2021 00:47

£9 per hour

YouMadeABear · 02/08/2021 00:48

37, degree and post grad, £27ph. I could earn more but the job is part time, term time only and flexible so we save loads on childcare.

Soberanne · 02/08/2021 12:57

Some of these are shocking and truly heartbreaking, especially the doctors, nurses, carers, childcare staff. What is wrong when we think this is acceptable in our country.
