What's for tea?

Just that. What's for tea/dinner in your house tonight? We were planning takeaway but not sure I fancy it, looking for inspiration...

Oven pizza feeling lazy after a long walk with the dogs!

Came on mumsnet to find a thread on what everyone’s having for tea!
it is SO HOT here!
We were having oven pizza or burgers and oven chips but don’t know if I can bear to put the oven on

I'm making pizzas shortly. Probably with home made chips & odd salad bits if someone else can be arsed to cut them!

I've spent most of the day baking so figured I may as well make dough while I was at it :)

I did beef in the slow cooker. With tomatoes, carrots, potatoes etc. Yorkshire puddings. Everyone is eating it politely in 28 degree heat. Not saying anything about it in case I have completely lost the plot, I suspect

We have a birthday in the house, so it's a request meal!

The request was BBQ burgers and all of the salads so that we're having!

Burgers and chicken on the barbecue because I couldn't cope with the hob or oven on in this heat.

Dominos now they've started doing gluten free again, wanted to try it!

hotdogs (thank you Lidl Bratwurst) and french fries and tomato salad.

Roast chicken legs, new potatoes and salad.

I found a 1.2kg courgette hiding in my veg plot so I've stuffed it with Bolognese and topped it with bechemel sauce. It's in the oven now and because of it's size I think I should invite all my neighbours around to help eat it

We were going to have a BBQ but dd has gone for to a friends for a sleepover so we are doing that tomorrow and ordering in burgers from the local takeaway. Yummy

Too hot to cook so baguette, cheese, olives, cold meats and salad here

We were supposed to be having chilli, but we aren’t home yet so we have decided to have a takeaway instead. The DD’s will have a freezer dinner of their choice.

Will probably make the chilli while the dd’s eat dinner and while we wait for our takeaway, and can have it tomorrow night instead.

Oooh I love courgette boats! Haven’t had that for ages so you nave inspired me to add some courgettes on to my shopping list this week

A whole, chilled watermelon. I'm in the NE and it's been over 29°C today. We're just not used to it 🥵

Hot dogs - I have sausages that need to be used as o defrosted them in a fit of absent minded stupidity earlier. They are the Richmond veggie ones and I'm hoping they are as nice as I have heard on MN.

Pizza or chicken burger. Too hot to cook a proper meal.

Very boring I'm afraid. A packet of mussels. The shelled ready to eat kind. Then a fruit salad. I hate cooking in hot weather.
