Giving up milk.....how did you do it?

I have always drank lots of milk in lots of mugs of tea and coffee throughout the day. I know it's not good for me but lockdown has lead to an increase in quantity.

For those of you who've given up, how did you manage? Do you drink substitutes? I like almond milk, but not as much and it's not great for the environment.

I like peppermint tea but all the fruit one's taste the same. Any recommendations for alternatives?

@SkyBlueKitchen
What was your chronic post nasal drip like? I have this at the back top of my throat. Have had it for 10 years. I tried going off wheat and dairy for 3 months and although it maybe helped a very little amount, it was still very bad. I do find it worse if I’ve just had icecream or chocolate etc. but I find if I cut out dairy it still very much exists.

Keen to hear how you overcame this.

@DPotter

Why do you think milk is bad for you? Do you have a proven reaction / allergy? If you do fair enough to stop but otherwise ...

Milk is a good source of calcium, iodine and vitamins - keep drinking it !

Yes- if you are a baby cow keep drinking it. Confused

We drink Oatly- it’s good and hard to come by.

@Memyselfandmom I used to be constantly clearing my throat, sniffing and coughing but it's way better these days since going 100% (checking every label as it's snuck into so many things) dairy free, now vegan.
