Has anyone else been horribly lazy about dinner today?

Ive just fed my children pesto pasta, a punnet of strawberries and three celebration chocolates each for dinner.

Feeling utterly exhausted tonight and just went for a quiet easy life. Even stirring in the pesto seemed an uphill struggle Grin

@SillyBub

Burgers, potato waffles and baked beans.

It was supposed to be burgers, home made spicy potato wedges and a great big salad.

I just could not be arsed. It was a true 'fuck it' dinner.

Kids bloody loved it.

God that sounds amazing. Potato waffles and beans is one of the best combos ever.

Ooodlesofboodles · 13/07/2021 21:10

Blimey, sometimes I just do porridge or cereal with fruit and yoghurt.

idontlikealdi · 13/07/2021 21:11

Spag Bol but it was literally just browned mince and a jar of dolmio. No one noticed the difference apart from me and it took me all of 3 minutes to prepare.

MorganSeventh · 13/07/2021 21:15

Dinner tonight was a piece of cold chicken, an apricot and a cheese sandwich. Was meant to make a a quinoa superfood salad to have with the chicken, but couldn't be bothered.

gogohm · 13/07/2021 21:25

We had pasta traybake from Aldi do you did better than me. Just wasn't feeling the cooking thing today

TheNameTheWebsiteForgot · 13/07/2021 21:40

Made my DC cook Blush

MsRinky · 13/07/2021 21:43

I had 3 pints of cider, a pack of mini-cheddars and some noodles on the way home...and I have work in the morning. I should know better at my age.

Figgygal · 13/07/2021 21:48

Our shopping doesn’t come until morning so it was scrambled eggs, spaghetti hoops and toast for tea tonight
There was an apple left to balance it out

ShinyGreenElephant · 13/07/2021 21:48

I made veggie burgers and wedges from scratch with a big salad, even did different salads to accommodate one kid loving cucumber and one hating it. The 2 year old refused everything but the wedges and the buns. The 12 year old only ate the salad because the rest was "spicy" (it wasn't). I ruined another day of the diet by eating their left overs. Tomorrow I'll not fucking bother

Summernamechange2021 · 13/07/2021 21:48

Ds1 had gammon and brocolli
Ds2 had leftover pasta from yesterday
Me... I had 4 waffles Blush

SeeSection · 13/07/2021 21:49

Yes. We had some pan fried salmon with baby’s leftover cheese pasta mixed in!

Longdistance · 13/07/2021 21:52

Dds had chicken pasta. Dh came home and we bunged a ready made quiche in the oven with salad.

tubbycustardtummyache · 13/07/2021 21:52

Same here. Glass of wine and packet of the kids smarties for dinner
In my defence it’s been a very stressful day

frazzledfragglefromfragglerock · 13/07/2021 21:53

Yes got a Thai meal box from Asda for us and Ready made Mac n cheese for kids.

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 13/07/2021 21:54

i am (or was) home alone for two nights...
last night was a baked potato, corned beef a spoonful of beans and an indecent amount of butter followed by strawberries and cream

tonight it was the rest of the beans on buttered toast with grated cheese on top, AND the rest of the strawberries with cream

Stay classy!

OhWhyNot · 13/07/2021 21:54

Miso soup and cheese toastie

Added sliced tomatoes in toastie so we had some veg (well fruit)

omg i love soba noodles!! i’ve never seen that flavour before
olympicsrock · 13/07/2021 22:08

Glass of rose and some tortilla chips

NotThatSocial · 13/07/2021 22:09

It was really hot so I said I was just doing a basic salad.
My 8 year old didn't fancy that so took it upon himself to make smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast for himself and his sister. Result!

Terrazzo · 13/07/2021 22:14

DS age 6 had fish fingers, potato minions and baked beans in my bed in front of the telly, didn’t even give him a tray. DS age 3 didn’t want anything so had a spoonful of hummus. Think the laziest meal in my whole parenting career thus far.

IHaveBrilloHair · 13/07/2021 22:15

Pastadog
New flavour discovery in the corner shop at Dd's last week.
They're amazing.

Lotty32 · 13/07/2021 22:17

"Just" 4 magnum ice creams (me not the DC!) now I feel sick!

What flavour though? If its the salted caramel ones thats totally justifiable
Begonias · 13/07/2021 22:21

I got fish and chips delivered, thankfully my three will eat anything. I did make butterfly chicken, mash and Mediterranean veg last night. I'm just keeping the balance!
I'm absolutely wiped out, was in bed for 8. It's been a long week and it's only Tuesday!!
