What are you doing instead of watching the football?

I thought I'd put headphones on and sew, but the noise of the machine bothers the watchers. In any case, I have to have the headphones on too loud for comfort in order to block out the noise of the football!

I'm making a lemsip whilst trying to decide if double dosing on paracetamol is a really bad idea.....(I know it is don't worry I won't take too much.....but the only lemsips we have are the flu ones and I'm not due another cetamol yet....).

I’m watching girlboss on Netflix, it’s quite good. Others are watching footie outside where they belong

But, as I have never watched football I’ve figured I can’t watch it now in case I jinx anything.

Lying in bed feeling like shit, I have bastard tonsillitis that is so painful I can’t swallow without coughing, resulting in more pain, a blocked nose that won’t budge, and I ache all over. My face hurts.

And I have to go collect antibiotics tomorrow when I can barely walk from the bed to the toilet.

Half watching while I sort the Lego into colours. My dc are now too big for a lot of their sets so we need to get the boxes packed up to give to my DB or sell on eBay. It's surprisingly soothing.

It's unusually quiet here. No neighbour children screaming on the trampoline. DS is on playing final fantasy with friends and I'm about to read my book.

In bed, with my book. DH only watches the big tournaments so I can't begrudge him the telly; I'd only have watched Countryfile and the Antiques Roadshow tbf! I've painted my toenails as well

@GetTaeFuck the two things that got me through repeated "can't swallow your own saliva" tonsillitis - soluable cocodamol and really thick milkshake in little sips, if someone can get either of these for you. Hope you fight it off soon

Painting the sitting room. It's taking forever but once I finish this coat I'm going to have a bath then read Diary of a Provincial Lady.

I am going to go and hoover upstairs now I think. Rock and roll.
