If you don’t live in the country you are “from”. Who do you support in sport?

By from I mean, if someone said “where are you from” the country you would say so not necessarily your nationality!

I’m English and moved to Denmark last year...footballs not my thing (but I am loving how buzzing Copenhagen is today!) so I’m not hugely fussed but would say I’m supporting England (but also happy for dk to win Grin but wondering how long I’d have to live here before switching alliance Grin

@user1471523870 similar situation here. I have decided to support England for this match as it's been so long since they won anything. But I was really hoping not to be in this situation!!

@JaninaDuszejko - I expect you are right and I'm being unfair. I think those that travelled to London without match tickets to mill about and spread COVID were daft, but the cleanup operation was a nice touch. Scotland hasn't been my concern for a long time now, anyway!

I'm English. Lived in Scotland for 17 years. I'll support Scotland. But if they're not in it I'll support England.

Scotland vs England was a tough game for me and I'm glad it was a draw because I just couldn't pick a side.

Oh and Wales is always my neutral team as DH IS Scottish and DS is English!

All 3 and if 2 playing each other I am neutral

I support my home country if they're playing, or the country I live in if not. I'm Spanish, have lived in a variety of countries including England, currently in Germany. 'Home' for me is the UK though, even more so than Spain.

It's funny because I supported Germany in their match against England (no idea why, I can't stand them), but then supported England against Denmark. I have strong ties with Italy and lots of Italian friends and relatives, so I am now rooting for them on Sunday, but would be equally as happy if England won. Even more confusing is one of the motorsports I follow, they have both Spanish and British drivers and I support someone else...

I had a friend who said to me once when I was having an identity crisis when younger - which country do you support in sports? That's what you are Grin Sounded pretty simple, but it's actually very true!

@mbosnz

MrsTerryPratchett - I feel that way about Richie McCaw. And he really is as genuinely gorgeous and nice in real life. . . (swoons).
I've just googled him.

Mmmmmmmm hmmmmmmm
