How much would you pay for a week in a caravan?

We really love caravan breaks, dc love all the onsite facilities etc. I usually book cheapies in term time.
Now eldest dc is of school age I was having a look for a week next August, the prices are eye watering!
Does anyone happily pay 800+ for a week? Does it feel good value or do you end up wishing you'd gone abroad?

AdobeWanKenobi I guess that’s why there is such price variation. Ours has very comfortable Hypnos mattresses with toppers, is in a lovely beach front position and has a well equipped kitchen with Nespresso etc. It’s still on a holiday park, it’s still not bricks and mortar but it’s surprisingly comfortable and quiet,

I wouldn't pay that in the UK but I am lucky enough to live in a seaside town a 15 minute walk from the beach anyway. Not that we use it. Our last few family holidays have been in Static caravans with Eurocamp, and we're now looking at investing in one in the south of france. Not to rent out, but to have just for us or very close family at a push.
UK prices make me wince when you think a two week break in September (so admittedly not in holidays) through Eurocamp just outside St Tropez set us back just over £700 in 2019. UK prices are criminal in comparison!

This year £800+ seems like the norm for a week in a caravan in the UK. Normally I’d go to France for that price 😭
