Does anyone want to be friends?

I understand how sad this thread title sounds but I'm in desperate need of some friends.
I'm pretty isolated and find it hard to put myself in situations were I can find lasting friendships.
A bit about me, I'm a sahm who homeschools 2 dc. Ds is 7 and has asd and dd is 3.
I have 2 dogs and a cat, I really like going on dog walks.
I don't really have any hobbies, I occasionally play sims, read all sorts of book genres, I like most genre movies, I'm not a particularly fitness fanatic but I do like walking.
So if anyone would like an online friend or someone to message and talk boring everyday rubbish with I'd love to get to know you.

I hope this doesn't come over as a pity thread, I'm sure many people have felt really isolated in these times to.

I was also hoping for an otter photo so thank you. Went on a canoeing with otters trip the other day but no otters.

I have made friends through MN. Joined a young mums Facebook group off the back of a thread that was going on here years ago. It's been several years we've all been chatting on the group. There have been group meets and some small meets of just a few, over time lots of real life friendships have developed.

I'd suggest local Facebook groups or interest groups. Lots of people are looking for a pal

Hi, I’m always up for a good bit of chat. I also have a 7yo DS with autism, as well as a 9yo DS. We have a cat who’s taken to following 7yo about and sleeping curled up next to him, which is high praise indeed since she seems to hate everyone else!
I have about a million Pinterest boards, in fact I can’t seem to do anything these days without starting a Pinterest board on it!

Hi op. I'm just wondering if you've managed to meet anyone through home ed. We have a vibrant community here that has been such a godsend, but maybe you don't, or its slow starting up again.... I've found out really good to be able to dip my toes in slowly while we have kids and home ed in common!

You don't sound desperate at all. I would love to be friends. I'm Jen, I live with my two children Evie and Alfie in East Yorkshire. I am starting uni in Sept to do History. I'm looking forward to it it really nervous too. I like the same things, reading and walking but not at all sporty. I know what you mean about sometimes just wanting to comment about something on telly to someone or have a general moan. I'm good at that! If you want to dm me it would be great to hear from you!
