And we’re on a hill. Only saving grace is that there are some pretty tall trees about 60m away. Can literally feel some of the shaking through the armchair. Gulp…

Same here in York.

LunaNorth · 03/07/2021 22:42

It’s fab!

Craftycorvid · 03/07/2021 22:43

Yup, very ‘close’ here and some lightning. Electrical storms always make me feel unwell.

RubyGoat · 03/07/2021 22:47

Yorkshire here too. Not heard thunder this loud in ages.

One starting here on holiday in the lakes in a tiny little cabin. I love storms..the rain is so loud it’s waking my 17 month old up though, she’s in bed with me but keeps sitting up like what the hell is that?!

RubyGoat · 03/07/2021 23:10

Oh that sounds lovely @Rou5467, I love storms too, TBH. Hope she settles back down though.

None here in Wiltshire

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 03/07/2021 23:14

Yorkshire too. It was mental for half an hour. It did not stop!

RampantIvy · 03/07/2021 23:15

Whereabouts in Yorkshire? We live in South Yorkshire, but are away just now. I'm jealous.

AColdDuncanGoodhew · 03/07/2021 23:15

We were forecast a storm tonight (West of Scotland) but none. Gutted! I think it’s due tomorrow now.

AttaGirrrrl · 03/07/2021 23:15

I’m just about to get out of the bath as the rain has picked up here…

Somethingsnappy · 03/07/2021 23:19

Jealous! Ours keep getting forecast, then they cancel them....

I'm near Harrogate but it was in the eastern sky.

“They cancel them” Grin

Damn 2021 with all its cancellations. First they took our concerts, now they’re taking our storms.

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 03/07/2021 23:22

The forecast says overnight. London.

RubyGoat · 03/07/2021 23:31

North Yorkshire. We’re west of Harrogate.

Exactly! It's how I feel EVERY SINGLE TIME the bastards get our hopes up and then dash them. Bloody Met Office.
AttaGirrrrl · 03/07/2021 23:37

They’ll cancel the summer next. Fuckers.

Shmithecat2 · 03/07/2021 23:38

Yep. In North Yorkshire, near Boroughbridge.

Nobody should have that much power. It goes to their heads and they mess with our minds.
HangingOver · 03/07/2021 23:48

No but we have football twats letting off fireworks. 3 fireworks cue 30 minutes of seagulls screaming their heads off Angry

pyjamams13 · 03/07/2021 23:52

Yes we had it in york. Camping too. It was great!!

SomethingAboutNothing · 03/07/2021 23:54

We're a bit further north in noth Yorkshire and nothing here, wonder if it will head this way. Has been very muggy this evening.
