Has anybody been paid for an item via Gumtree? I've sold an item and the buyer wants to pay via Gumtree but it feels a bit suspicious.

It's a large item and they want to arrange for courier delivery.
The link they've sent me is
gumtree-uk . ba-pay . info/cash ... followed by a number
I've put in some spaces in case it is dangerous.

If you've been paid via Gumtree , is this a valid url?

I've worked out that it is a scam by looking up the phone number they messaged me with.
It has a negative rating and people mention gumtree courier scam.

The thing that made me really suspicious was how incredibly good looking the lady in the whatsapp message was :)
Be warned.

It’s a scam. Cash on collection - and if lots of money to wait with you at the bank till it’s checked.

Anything with remote payment ( gumtree/ eBay )and collection by courier or in person even can be put through as “ not received “ and will be refunded. Receipts / photos of you. Handing it over , what ever - all won’t be accepted

Gumtree confirmed to me it’s a scam when someone tried it on me when I was selling a wheelchair

One of the things that aroused my suspicion as well was that they said they "were in another city".
I don't think real people would use that phrase as they would just say "I'm in Leeds".
