Genuine question; how do hackers find out who we are from the information posted on this thread and then try to hack us?

I've never used any of my children's nicknames - or any of my own - in passwords. On here, or anywhere else. And, upon advice, I change my passwords frequently. As anyone with an ounce of common sense ought to!

One is called bear, one is called moo and one is sausage

To answer a PP, think about questions asked to verify your password, town of birth, mothers maiden name and what people use to create passwords e.g pet names
Hackers create lists and test them out.

My DD's Roblox name is fairly random but sometimes I call her by that.
