It's the little things in life....

What are the little things in life that just make the day / moment 'nicer'? I'm thinking along the lines of having a favourite mug for coffee in the morning.

I've got a non milestone birthday coming up and would love to suggest little things that could be used every day rather than anything 'big'

I have a small biscuit tin on my kitchen shelf which contains my favourite "morning coffee" biscuits which I get from Home Bargains. It's hidden in plain sight but no one knows it has biscuits in it. If my boys knew it was there they'd hoover them up the same as they hoover everything in our house. It's just mine and I love it. Little things! Happy birthday OP

When we first got dpuppy last Feb we taught her how to give kisses when we approach her (it was waaay beneath sadly lost last year ddog to give us a kiss!)
So now whenever I enter a room she stands expectedly awaiting her kiss!! All the dc get one too!! Very gentle and no drool!!.

Electric toothbrush.
Yardley rose scented hand cream.
Nice hardback notebook and fountain pen.

It gives me enormous pleasure to use lovely favourite potter bowls for eating from rather than display or ‘to put things in’.

Recently bought extra long charging leads - absolute game changer. Ditto Bluetooth headphones.

Had recent kitchen clear out and realised I wanted very small silicone whisks (around 5 inches long). I use them for so many things and I adore them.

Those are my recent small tweaks which give me daily pleasure.

Putting my electric blanket on. Love the warmth on my back. Same with heated car seats.
Playing a song I love.
Brushing my hair with oil until every tangle is gone.
A very soft rug for my bare feet.
Ten minutes of sun on my face in the morning.
An almost empty handbag, clean inside and containing only essentials.
Fairy lights in my garden and around my fireplace.

Too cute!! Our Ddog is only 20 months and has a few daft tricks that the children taught him but nothing as cute as that!

Satin pillowcase - do these stop wrinkles? Or just feel nice? Nice hand cream is a good one

I was given some lovely Neom shower gel for a birthday. I smelled lovely every day and it pleased me no end.

Thank you. I know what you mean about the potter bowls - I was given a small hand thrown bowl which I love and only hand wash...great for cereal or yoghurt...was rather cross when DH used it to feed Ddog the other day...made DH wash it up (with very hot water) by hand

That is a very lovely list. The empty handbag reminds me of the joy when I (rarely) clean the fridge - wipe shelves and empty and wash the veg drawer...the joy!!

Love a bath...Will look up the laura mercier one Love nice PJ's...but my best set are from Matalan 😂. Soft cotton and I even ironed them last night before I had a bath (they are shirt style and look awful when straight out of the wash) ...clean hair and ironed PJ's...I am so rock and roll 😂😂

I bought some new M&S keep cool bedding last summer and it is so so soft and stays wrinkle free even after the tumble dryer! It's viscose which I hadn't realised was a natural product so I love it even more
