..have money and options? Ok
Maybe not live forever but just much longer... would you?
Have more time to do things that maybe you never achieved?

Why not? Art says it's the time limited nature of life that makes it special. What if that's not the case?

Waxonwaxoff0 · 29/06/2021 20:30

Absolutely. I enjoy life and I've missed a year of it thanks to Covid!

lolacola77 · 29/06/2021 20:31

It's my (rather pointless) dream to have eternal life. Like Catherine Deneuve in The Hunger before it went tits up

tiredanddangerous · 29/06/2021 20:32

Depends. Do my family get to live forever with me?

Naggety · 29/06/2021 20:33

No

Sparkletastic · 29/06/2021 20:35

Hell yes

Tophatorangebear · 29/06/2021 20:36

Why do you have to "look good"?

tunnocksreturns2019 · 29/06/2021 20:37

Yes, definitely. My first life ended mid 30s when my husband died, I’m now really busy (and struggling tbh) with bringing up DCs on my own - I want more time to have another go at life

Cwenthryth · 29/06/2021 20:37

Errr, yes, of course if you put it like that, what would the drawback be?

GlutenFreeGingerCake · 29/06/2021 20:41

Yes but as the classic vampire film explains you would be sad to lose your loved ones if they only lived normal lifespans.

Roystonv · 29/06/2021 20:54

Do the rules include being happy; not much point otherwise?

SupermanInk · 29/06/2021 21:00

No. I procrastinate enough, giving me more time would make me worse. 😬

HugeAckmansWife · 29/06/2021 21:07

Not overly long life but healthy and fit without the effort would be great.

greenlynx · 29/06/2021 21:10

Yes, it sounds good.

5128gap · 29/06/2021 21:15

If I could be healthy and look good I'd take it. You wouldn't even need to throw in the money, as i'd have plenty of time to earn it.

sugarlost · 29/06/2021 21:17

@tiredanddangerous with science I believe it would be possible in the future for your family to live forever with you. My only concern is too many people living forever so this may have to be looked into and how we manage it ...maybe expand the world. I done think everything will sign up anyway

*don't think everyone

MyFloorIsLava · 29/06/2021 21:18

Living forever is such a weird concept. Like, what happens when the sun goes supernova and the earth is swallowed? Do you continue to live, floating forever in the infinite void of space?

TorySteller · 29/06/2021 21:20

Yes. I wouldn’t want to work for any longer than necessary though! I nice long and healthy retirement would suit me just fine.

thyroidhelp · 29/06/2021 21:20

No. 100 years and I'll be dying to die I think!

sugarlost · 29/06/2021 21:26

@Tophatorangebear good point... only if you want to look good.

@Roystonv yes of course we will be happy.

@Cwenthryth not sure of the drawback... hoping there won't need to be one

@tunnocksreturns2019Flowers. Reach out for support. Everymindmatters website is good, also think of contacting your GP, local services via your council, gingerbread support online for single parents X

Deadleaf29 · 29/06/2021 21:28

No. But it would be utterly awesome if we could stop people dying tragically young - I’d far rather everyone lived to a reasonable old age than some died in their thirties and some people lived a very very long life. I’d rather science solved dying too young first.

sugarlost · 29/06/2021 21:29

@5128gap good point about the money!

@thyroidhelp 😂

Okcookie · 29/06/2021 21:30

Only if I could be mentally healthy.

Right now it's tough enough just to get through one day at a time!

sugarlost · 29/06/2021 21:39

@Okcookie I know that pain 💐, I hope you're getting support. I mentioned the Everymindmatters website above x
