Posting for traffic!

Please share your favourite podcasts with me- a newb to the podcast world.

So far I’ve been listening to Failosophy (Elizabeth Day) and Happy Place (Fearne Cotton) — both excellent and would highly recommend!

I also like the Scrubs rewatch one, I loved Scrubs back in the day.

FrogsHiccups · 29/06/2021 05:53

No Such Thing As A Fish

Evil Genius with Russell Kane

You’re Dead To Me

It’s A Fair Cop

All really interesting and very funny!

Dannyandsandy · 29/06/2021 06:49

My therapist ghosted me...just fantastic

GCNC · 29/06/2021 06:53

Trashy divorces and the spin off, Trashy Royals.

Shagged Married Annoyed- thought I would hate it actually really enjoy it, though I have to readjust to the speak he speaks at every single episode!

BusMum79 · 29/06/2021 06:54

Fortunately with Jane Garvey & Fi Glover
Off Menu - James Acaster & Ed Gamble
Jay Rayner’s Out To Lunch
I also really enjoyed David Tennant Does A Podcast.
And if you like Happy Place & How To Fail (which I agree is brilliant) you may also enjoy Bryony Gordon’s Mad World.

Onesailwait · 29/06/2021 06:55

If you're into a quick listen story. I really enjoyed Jungle Prince. I think it was 4 episode's around 30mins each.

BikeRunSki · 29/06/2021 06:57

At Least You Didn’t - 2 friends sharing some of their most cringey moments. They both used to work in local radio and have a good patter, and a very self deprecating way of telling things. It’s very funny and relatable.

SquashMinusIsShit · 29/06/2021 06:58

Sinisterhood
To live and die in L.A.
What a creep
Fake doctors real.friends
The teacher's pet
They walk among us

Definitely a true crime pod fan

Fnib · 29/06/2021 07:03

I came on to say Mad World but @BusMum79 beat me to it.
Also Ramblings. It's a Radio 4 podcast with Claire Balding going for a walk and chatting with people.
There is also a Mumsnet podcast called AIBU?
which I found laugh out loud funny.
Alternatively (I use Spotify) I just search the names of people/subjects that interest me, and a range of options come up.

Bodgers · 29/06/2021 07:05

I think we have the exact same taste @Agadorsparticus

You might also enjoy the Tommy, Hector and Laurita podcast (with comedian Tommy Tiernan)

Youarestillintherunning · 29/06/2021 07:05

I'm into true crime podcasts with a touch of comedy. I could murder a podcast is my favourite at the moment. Also a Harry Potter fan, so really liked potterless which was a funny podcast about a 20 something year old man reading the books for the first time and his thoughts/musings on it

ChuckMater · 29/06/2021 07:07

Luanna the podcast!

Tossblanket · 29/06/2021 07:08

I like my crime so case file and they walk among us are two of the best.

The alarmist is good as well, comedy type podcast where disasters and tragedies are discussed and blame appointed.

Onesailwait · 29/06/2021 07:09

@SquashMinusIsShit I just finished To Live or die in LA. Adea's story. For True Crime my favorite Is Dateline.

lsjdkviwworin · 29/06/2021 07:10

My Dad Wrote a Porno is hilarious.

Snoozysnoozy · 29/06/2021 07:10

Triggernometry
We have ways of making you talk
Spiked
The infinite monkey cage
What most people think

Mxflamingnoravera · 29/06/2021 07:11

Blindboy- his rambles on mental health, colonialism and Irish history are fab.

TrufflyPig · 29/06/2021 07:13

'This podcast will kill you' is a good one for medical geeks like myself.

HancockScrewedCareHomes · 29/06/2021 07:14

The Missing Cryptoqueen - I was gripped.
Post office one on bbc - horrifying
Fortunately - bbc- awesome

Macncheeseballs · 29/06/2021 07:16

Death in cryptoland

Velvian · 29/06/2021 07:30

Grounded, Louis Theroux.
The Confessional, Stephen Mangan
I also love Fortunately, Jane Garvey and Fi Glover
Alexei Sayle's Imaginary Sandwich Bar
The funniest series I ever listened to is Believe It, staring Richard Wilson, but I don't think it's available at the moment.

I also love True Crime mainly and have loads of recommendations, but The Teacher's Pet is definitely the best for True Crime novices.

Also Untold: The Daniel Morgan Murder - very topical (thankfully) and shocking about Fleet Street and Police - together and separately.

Goldenphoenix · 29/06/2021 07:34

Feel better, live more. It's a medical podcast but has really interesting guests and topics
