What are these weird things in my cupboard?

I found loads of these things in my understairs cupboard. They are reddish brown and about the size of sesame seeds. Any ideas what they are?

Or as PP suggested cress seeds

Anyway don’t eat them

Reading all these again. Goodness knows why. I would get in touch with a local pest control firm to be on the safe side. They could be wallpaper paste eating insects. Eeeeek.

DH just got back from work and I showed him the picture and he said 'oh yeah, my Mum gave me some cress seeds for the kids but they all fell out of the packet in the cupboard.'

So hopefully they are cress seeds rather than anything sinister!!
