Hanging coats in the downstairs loo

We’re getting a downstairs loo put in. There’s bugger all cupboard space in the house. How would you feel visiting a house where your coat was hung up 8. The downstairs loo.

Because the downstairs toilet is called a cloakroom, so would need a toilet!
It’s certainly a common usage. The T word is grim enough without turning using an even more twee euphemism.

A cloakroom is exactly that. Somewhere to put cloaks (coats). Most would not contain a lavatory (unless in a separate room accessed through the cloakroom.
