Why are you passed off today?

I'm moody because

  1. Banging headache all day
  2. Shit cold, wet weather
  3. Theatre show I booked has been cancelled
  4. Feel unappreciated at work and was overlooked for promotion
  5. Daily grind of laundry, cleaning kitchen etc is never ending
  6. Just feel meh.

Everything's OK really. I have my health, DCs are fine, I'm employed, I have a roof over my head but ugh. Feel like shite.

  1. I spent yesterday afternoon throwing up.
  2. Haven’t been able to eat much today.
  3. One of my twins was sent home from nursery having had a loose poo and now can’t go to nursery tomorrow, though she seems perfectly well and happy.
  4. I have had to cancel half my work day tomorrow so I can care for my twins, when they should be at nursery.
  5. The sun has disappeared.
cheeseislife8 · 21/06/2021 21:02

Sorry you're having such a shit day!

For me, I'm isolating so I can't go to work, my dog is bored and DH is on lates all week. Plus my neighbour is using some kind of power tool.

Trying to see the bigger picture!

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 21/06/2021 21:04

Hope you feel better soon.

Thinking of going to bed and hoping tomorrow is better.

I'm on a low carb diet and just want to eat my feelings but I'm sticking to it if it kills me. Being fat is seriously soul destroying.

The constant gaslighting around COVID.

Latest example…the Scottish footballer testing positive not leading to self isolation of the rest of the team. I am sure they have given that nice female scientist with the grey bob a bung to say football is not a high contact sport

WE ARE NOT STUPID

FakeTanandProsecco · 21/06/2021 21:09

Silly bureaucracy being enforced by a jobsworth at work, when trying to help a vulnerable family.

Trying to spell bureaucracy !!!

SemiFeralDalek · 21/06/2021 21:40

I'm about to miscarry what was supposed to be my rainbow baby.
My dh keeps fucking moving things and then insisting that he hasn't.

I'm pissed off at exactly this too

@SemiFeralDalek 💐 so sorry for your loss.
AnyFucker · 21/06/2021 21:52

@SemiFeralDalek so sorry

omgthepain · 21/06/2021 21:55

@SemiFeralDalek
I'm so very sorry to read this
I've had 8 miscarriages so I understand how you must be feeling but stay strong and keep talking to people - don't bottle things up Biscuit

cheeseislife8 · 21/06/2021 22:19

@SemiFeralDalek I'm so sorry. I've been there and its utterly shit

MsFogi · 21/06/2021 22:22

I am really pissed off at MN kettling the women on this site who believe that being able to define women by biological sex into a backwater board. It is particularly annoying me given the Forstater decision and the announcement of Hubbard competing in the olympics.

SemiFeralDalek · 21/06/2021 23:02

Thanks everyone Flowers I'm trying to be pragmatic but it's definitely shit. Keep telling myself how fortune we are already and that it won't always feel like this.

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 22/06/2021 03:06

Flowers for @SemiFeralDalek be kind to yourself. I can't imagine what you're going through.

I have tonsillitis. I've been ill over my long weekend off work, I'm due back today, and I know I can't go in. I'll have to call in sick and do a bit from home, because it's one of those jobs where you go in with no real guarantee of a finish time.
I've woken up at 4.00am when my painkillers ran out.

TheChosenTwo · 22/06/2021 07:24

I went for a run and it was so shit I wish I hadn’t bothered.
Then when I got back dh was hogging the main bathroom so I had to wait for ages.
Went to make myself some breakfast and there’s no butter.
Went to the shop and it’s closed because the staff haven’t turned up.
Tripped up my front step when I got home.
Just sat here raging to myself but it’s all superficial and I’ll get over myself.
Flowers to everyone who’s having a genuinely hard time.

TroysMammy · 22/06/2021 07:27

Ask me the question again at about 9.15am when I start work an hour before.

LordFoofingtonismyMaster · 22/06/2021 07:31

I'm not in UK so our vaccine roll out is different. Finally got the message last night for my appointment, went on to the portal to answer the medical questions and it cancelled my appointment on me. I rang and there's nothing they can do other than escalate and get it reissued 😞. I honestly broke down and sobbed for an hour and didn't sleep last night. I'm shocked at my own reaction. I'm normally quite level headed. Woken up to one of the cats not that well so probably off to the vet. Been waiting for the sale on our house to close for a month now, it's meant to be this week. I'm just tired, stressed and have had enough juggling working from home with the kids.

cricketmum84 · 22/06/2021 07:36

My nerve pain kept me awake most of last night.
My ankles are particularly weak this morning and I'm struggling to get about with my frame and I'm alone most of the day.
My direct report leaves on Friday and I just can't seem to be able to get any decent cvs in to find a replacement so I'm going to be doing two peoples jobs for at least the next month in a role I've only been in for 6 weeks myself. I'm already exhausted from working late every night last week.

But I have a job, a house and healthy children and I have my diabetes blood test results to look forward to as I'm expecting a good reduction in my levels.

So sorry for your loss @SemiFeralDalek

cricketmum84 · 22/06/2021 07:37

P.s @Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting if you report your OP to MN they will change the title of the thread for you :)

I am the queen of mistyping thread titles.

Workyticket · 22/06/2021 07:41

Our wedding is in 3 weeks and the venue want to stick to the old rules re tables of 6 so we have a huge marquee booked but only limited guests allowed. To say I'm pissed off is an understatement

HangingOver · 22/06/2021 07:48

I woke up too early and it's my day off and all I'm doing is lolling around tiredly.

SpiceRat · 22/06/2021 08:01

Some utter tramps who live on a street off mine I walk to dog on dumped a load of roasted pork fat / leftover meat on the grass verge on the street. Dog decided to do a poo next it and I hadn’t noticed it was there. By the time I had picked up and bagged the poop he had managed to snaffle and eat a bit. He’s got a good drop command but I was too late. The thing is he is allergic to protein and this is going to make him ill. I’m fucking furious. It was 630am and pregnancy hormones made me SCREAM in the street, I was close to unbagging the poop and throwing it off their house. Utter tramps! You want to “feed the wildlife” do it in your own fucking garden.

Frownette · 22/06/2021 08:09

I had to reread that so yeah pissed off.
