how did yours come by?

when DS1 was finished reception I went on the school trip as a parent helper.
his best friend's dad and I were responsible for a group of 4 kids: our own plus 2 others.

in a school or related setting the parents were supposed to call each other by their surnames which we the dad & I both struggled with because we knew each other socially.

so he kept on calling me Zing or Mrs Sheeba. DS1's friend kept in calling me Auntie Zing (as per usual)
the 2 other kids had to call me Mrs Sheeba, but one then called me Auntie Zing and the other mummy by accident.

DS1 was so confused by the end he blurted out "Mrs Mummy". 🤣

Haha aw bless!! That's so cute! I'm auntie Kurt to most of my DCs friends or occasionally mum! In fact my DSs best mate has called me mum or other mother since he was 6! He's a strapping 6ft now and still calls me it.

My Mrs mummy came about when we were homeschooling last year, it was actually my DD who said I think we should call you mrs mummy during school time, and it stuck 😂

Hi all, good evening. Haven’t left the house at all, and dp ordered takeaway that’s just arrived yay! Feeding baby and hoping she’ll stay asleep and then I’ll nosh. I had a good sleep while he looked after her, when I woke up she’d been fed and bathed. When I read the relationship boards where OP’s have no support with really young ones I just don’t know how they do it. I’m so physically tired all the time even with help! I’m hoping once I stop breastfeeding I’ll feel better, as once baby started solids it did improve.

I really want to see Cruella and Bond whenever they release it. Going to see The Father next week.

All you Marvel fans, what’s your feelings about Thanos? I like to wind dp up by reading #ThanosWasRight memes on Reddit to him

Aw @BakeOffRewatch I'm glad you've had some sleep! Your DH sounds absolutely lovely! It's so tiring when they're tiny, I was on my own with newborn and 2 year old with my eldest two. Absolutely knackered all the time! It's so good to read about lovely husbands who are so hands on

As for Thanos... I guess he kinda had a point. I think he's hard to class as your standard bad guy because of that very point. But I was glad Thor offed him

I've agreed to play a star wars game on Xbox with DP this evening. Gave it a good, I'd say 40 mins of my full attention, now on MN and DPs still enthusiastically announcing every time he unlocks new things. I feel bad 😬

I made it through the day on only 2 coffees. Got to get down to normal levels after a few tough weeks with the LO.

Purpleyblue Do you ever do half-caf? I find it can trick me into feeling alert but I'm not actually taking in as much caffeine.

Ooh that is a great idea. I had been trying to swap to tea but it just isn't the same.

Sometimes I put just the smallest sprinkle of regular and then try to immediately forget that it's mostly decaf.

I might try premixing it in an empty jar of caffinated to try and trick myself.

No news on the baby front, DD is exhausted and the induction has been slow going because the maternity ward is so busy. She's still in quite good spirits though despite some powerful contractions tonight.

I drink way too much coffee. Probably 4/5 cups a day.

Morning all, how is everybody today?

My poor DD didn't get any sleep at all and she's running on empty now. I wish I could go give her a big cuddle.

I think I had a bit of a temperature last night, was in bed by 9 and watched Workin' mums on Netflix for a few hours.
it's quite funny.

I still feel a bit bleurgh but no headache thankfully. and no school runs
