In San Francisco Bay area and it is a lovely day still so off for a walk to soak it in.

The thought of the new thread grandbaby to arrive soon makes me reflect on how hard, how fast we fall in love with a newborn. It is a miracle, of sorts!

I had a bit of a Hitchcock Birds moment in the woods today. Was a little frightening.

@BakeOffRewatch Yes, you're right, 72 hrs not 36. I really did need some sleep (still do ).

Morning all, not much sleep for me either, DC were restless, I was still watching Netflix at 4am.

Coffee, coffee and more coffee!!

@ElGuardiandenoche it is fine where I live, nice weather, very liberal and diverse and great food.

I've been here 40 years but it is still not home. I mourn the years of missed family times, growing older together and really knowing all the little ones that come along. I've made a good life here, probably been much more successful than would have been possible at home, but that's only a small part of life. I did meet my lovely DH here though, so here we are.

Dp loved his photo and frame and card, baby played it very cool like she didn’t know about her gifts at all.

Sleep for everyone! He’s gone to work now, after I’ve finished this tea I will go back to bed, feed baby to sleep and start on Terry Pratchett.

No news on baby yet. DC are beyond excited about a tiny new nephew.

There's a card and present for exh for Father's Day but he's ill (so much for it only being hayfever!) so they'll give him it when they see him next week. All being well.

That thing about “Time of Mating” being the “Big Bang Hypothesis” is such a dad joke, I did that sort of sigh snort laugh I do for clever but awful jokes.

Elguardian Looks like a lovely spot! When DD was first born, whenever we were outside, I always had the -irrational- fear that birds would swoop down and peck her.

Ok so I was asleep and this is going to make me sound like a total troll.

Had a loud knock on my door 20min ago, open it to 6 Met Police, 3 cars. They’re looking for someone missing at my house. It was SO surreal. I almost think I dreamed it? The lead person was quite nice and explained they were looking for this person and were prepared with this many officers as previously they’d been assaulted by them. Baby was quiet through the whole thing but when I went back up, was awake on bed lol.

@BakeOff - so they're looking for a missing person and knocked on your door by mistake - or they got a tip he was at your house? Weird. And scary to answer the door to police!

Glad everyones father's Day is getting off without a hitch (but maybe one Hitchcock). DP loves his photo magnets.

They had my address specifically and they kept asking me if I knew that person, one of them asked to see my surname (not sure how that helps anything).

It’s just not helped the tiredness being woken up and baby is all fussy and tired now. I made a cup of tea and then dropped it all over the floor, so spent time cleaning that up while baby cried.

Was looking forward to meeting dp for day out at nice London museum after he finished work but I’m not sure I’m up to it now.

That really sucks. Don't push yourself. They'll be other times for nice days out but you can't put off rest xxx

I haven't slept properly in about a week and finally drifted off last night only to be woken by dd looking over me at 1.30am. She was crying because her duvet doesn't sit properly on the bed in the new house and it kept falling off 🤦🏻‍♀️ she was so exhausted after a day pelting around on the heat yesterday and the move the day before that she just couldn't work it out. Instead of throwing her out the window, I fixed it and tucked her back in and eventually got back to sleep myself. Then was up at 7.30 to meet a friend for a run. I've postponed father's day to next week and I'm going back to bed 😆
