Here it is, the shiny after party thread carried on from Salsa's epic thread here:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/4272664-To-see-how-quickly-we-can-fill-up-this-thread

All welcome - you can post more than once, just don't double post or no trophy for you!

Party on dudes, and be excellent to each other 🎉

Is it ok to join late? I watched the last thread but can't resist joining in when there's a new baby on the way

FlowerPower3110 · 21/06/2021 08:38

Good morning

Kurt you poor daughter, I hope the baby appears today!

Zing glad to hear you don't have to worry about the school runs, hope you're feeling better soon

friggingnora of course it's okay to join now! The more the merrier Smile

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 21/06/2021 08:50

hey nora
welcome!

it's pissing down so ended up driving DD & DS5 but didn't get out of car as DS3 came with us and walked them in.
still a win, still in jimjams🤣

I LOVE Workin’ Moms. One of the things I watched when I was pregnant and waiting for baby to arrive. I haven’t watched any tv since baby was about 3 months old though (because they’d get distracted very easily!). I got through Schitt’s Creek, Malcolm in the Middle (had a totally different view on that watching in my 30s vs as a teen, much more sympathy for Lois and noticed things like she gave up management role to be with her kids), Workin’ Moms.

Welcome, nora. The more people and posts, the better!

Are we racing to fill the thread this time? Or taking it leisurely for this one and try to beat our time (~72hrs) for the next one? Smile

BakeOffRewatch · 21/06/2021 09:39

I thought this was an after party?

UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa · 21/06/2021 09:44

Oh, right. Smile

I'm resting today @KurtWilde
just talked to my mum for over an hour, we decided it's not wise to book a ticket for her because we don't want to risk her not being able to come.

Hungary is currently on amber list, but you have to pre-book 2 tests (few hundred quid I think, could do it) but if it the status changes to red (and without warning) she'd have to stay in airport quarantine that is £1750!😱
yeah, not happening.
Shame, we've not seen her since April '19.

just had to cancel FIL's party as well.
I won't moan though, so many people have it so much worse I have no right to whinge!

going back to bed.

BakeOffRewatch · 21/06/2021 10:30

Has the after party status being confirmed?

Because this is a filler post!

KurtWilde · 21/06/2021 10:33

I'm glad you can get some rest zing, naff about your mum not being able to visit just yet though.

BakeOff I think with the rate of how this thread is filling this is more an after party for nattering round the punch bowl than a fill the thread quick type thing.

I feel it's like we've run the race, now we just banter around a campfire, because we didn't feel like just saying goodbye!

KurtWilde · 21/06/2021 10:39

I agree zing Smile

We could always have a second official attempt if we need it. I thought it was an after party but still following the rules for some reason.

I'm currently tidying up all the toys while LO naps ready for them to untidy them when they wake up. I do this every day I'm not sure why. It just makes me feel better to know at one point they were all in the toy box.

I washed my baby’s piano this morning because it had dried rusk all over it. Possibly not a good idea… waiting for it to dry.

KurtWilde · 21/06/2021 10:54

Let's throw caution to the wind and ditch the rules. All those in favour?

Ooh nice, your baby has a piano!
BakeOffRewatch · 21/06/2021 12:05

I overstated it a bit, it’s this www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-my-first-piano/p4263070 I have a lot of fun with it!
