Single treat for £1,400 ideas please

I know I might get lots of grief for this but I'm really lucky to be in this position and would like to make the most of it so I'm turning to MN for inspiration. I have been given £1,400 to spend on a treat. It mustn't be something useful but something I would never spend money on myself. And it must one one thing so it can't be three expensive pairs of shoes for example.

I rarely spend so much on a single treat so I'm looking for ideas. Not holidays because I have already saved for a holiday and am not keen to spend this money on another holiday or a spa break or similar.

I am into crafting (but really wouldn't spend this kind of money on it!), interior and garden design, I love entertaining, and would like some facial surgery (keen on those threads that lift your face up). Any ideas? Thank you.

The biggest most comfortable bed I could find or £1400 worth of PT sessions or £1400 worth of theatre vouchers

I'd get my garden sorted out - it's fine as it is but I want it a bit more stunning - mine is quite small so wouldn't cost a fortune

Or
Garden furniture set including loungers, table chairs etc and comfy cushions

Enjoy your money!

I'd buy a Pilates Reformer.

Gosh lucky you... I can think of a few things

A designer handbag
Diamond stud earrings
Art
Watch
An oak bed
Outside patio set
A horse

I also love the idea of an electric bike

I would put it towards a trip to Le Manoir.
Or buy a Mulberry handbag
Or buy some jewellery, something fancy to wear everyday
Or a watch
Although I like the art suggestion too

A holiday, but If the giver wants you to buy something to keep, then a beautiful piece of jewellery.

A greenhouse

Somuddled · 18/06/2021 07:52

I came home n to say get one of those fancy pull out craft cupboards and I see others have suggested it too.

If not that, then a personal trainer

I would buy myself a £1400 voucher for a bookstore and then spend that on all the books on my wishlist Grin

Probably art. I love Scottish artist Derek Robertson's wildlife paintings so would maybe go for a commission. I already have a painting of a heron which he did for me and I love it.

Jewellery. A lovely cocktail ring.

Maybe the giver thinks it's your one opportunity to buy something that expensive. Whereas if you bought lots of smaller things, it's stuff you could have bought yourself over time.
