I should say I am annoyed and irritated in general but this seems to be said daily.

It's so innocuous I don't notice it being said. Who keeps saying it?!

I do lots of presenting and never say it.

I promise to continue never saying it if people can also stop describing things that are quite good/nice as phenomenal, incredible or stunning.

I have literally never come across that in a presentation, but it's perfectly possible that's because no one in my field can cram the fruit of their mighty intellects into anything like a 'whistle-stop tour' of the topic.

More like a two-year Grand Tour of the topic with a lot of digressions.

I agree about slide deck, threads have been started to complain. And "talk to the slides" - I prefer to talk about them to other humans.

I have sunglasses on a bit of elastic, for the record.

@StealthPolarBear someone said to me last week yep I can talk to those slides and i just did this on video call too so they probably saw my reaction. Very odd turn of phrase!
