I should say I am annoyed and irritated in general but this seems to be said daily.

@DobbleDobble

My pet hate atm is “it is what it is’ argh
I have told DH that he will find himself single faster than he can say 'Unamicable divorce' if he ever says this to me.

I feel this thread is a good place for this.

I have never heard this

I do hear on a daily basis “smash it” at work.

“We are going to smash it!” Hmm

Fuck off

What does ‘talk to the slides’ mean?

catinthewindow · 17/06/2021 13:02

The opposite of ‘a deep dive’ drives me equally insane

Cheermonger · 17/06/2021 13:03

I’ll replace it with ‘a quick canter around’ 👍

Cheermonger · 17/06/2021 13:05

…. Shoulda rtft too 🤣

Bitofachinwag · 17/06/2021 13:09

What's a slide deck?

4PawsGood · 17/06/2021 13:10

@Bitofachinwag

What's a slide deck?
A PowerPoint presentation.
4PawsGood · 17/06/2021 13:10

@Konga

What does ‘talk to the slides’ mean?
I think it means I’ll talk about them. It’s absolutely appalling.
RainbowZebraWarrior · 17/06/2021 13:16

I was just about to come in with "reach out" but pleased to see SpikeDearheart beat me to it.

I used to play 'office meeting wanky phrases bingo' back in the day. Now I just talk to myself and the cat as I make soaps and keep bees. (Cats and bees thankfully don't do cunty catch phrases)

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2021 13:38

@Konga

What does ‘talk to the slides’ mean?
Present the slides. Not sure what went wrong with that term.

Yes! Were you on our training day yesterday? Soo many people used the same phrase... All day. Every session... Good intentions (lovely bunch really) but. Wth? 😂

SunnySideDownBriefly · 17/06/2021 16:22

Language is so contagious! My team is a nightmare for it...and they always copy the dimwit who has got the saying wrong too!
