When I kiss my babies cheeks

She half closes her eyes, smiles and almost purrs with happiness.....that, that right there makes it all worth it.

Plus she's at the lovely baby rolls nearly crawling stage and I could just eat her.

That is all.

Anything simple making your heart soar today?

Reading books. Here am I, trapped in the Black Country I know, I know, nothing wrong with that, but in the past few days I have been in Hungary, Austria and France. My world has opened up so much.

redfoxred · 14/06/2021 15:31

Awww that's lovely!
My 2 year old DD just started saying "love you mummy" recently and squeezes her noise to mine for Eskimo kisses 🥰🥰🥰

romdowa · 14/06/2021 15:32

I got to see my baby on the scan and see it wriggling about! It always makes me smile 😃

wizzywig · 14/06/2021 15:33

There's a little crease in the nose that appears when my youngest smiles. I think my heart pops when that happens.

frecklefacee · 14/06/2021 15:34

Aww that is adorable! My little boy sat up unaided for the first time today and DD was very proud of him and asked for a picture with him. It’s my new favourite picture

Myphone · 14/06/2021 15:35

OP, I think that made me cry a little bit. 🥰 Mine volunteers kisses and cuddles and pats my back.

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 14/06/2021 15:35

DS and his beautiful blue eyes and the freckles on his nose

QueenOfThorns · 14/06/2021 15:38

I’ve got a stomach bug and generally feel like crap today, so my DD brought me her favourite blanket and two of her cuddly toys to keep me company while she’s at school Smile

SameToo · 14/06/2021 15:40

My 2 year old has checked on my poorly foot and put on a plaster in solidarity. She’s delicious. But gross because she picks her nose and eats beans off the floor Grin

grooovychick · 14/06/2021 15:41

My 1 year old properly squeezes when giving hugs now, very cute

AleynEivlys · 14/06/2021 15:49

My 4 year old recently tried to get out of a walk by saying 'But I'm not wearing suitable shoes!' Grin

I love it when they come out with these 'adult' phrases.

(Same child will quite happily plunge feet first into a stream/puddle/shallow pool wearing aforementioned shoes.)

MyMabel · 14/06/2021 15:52

My 17 month old has started doing some things that make me eyes well up with complete love.

  • she’s started just running up to me and wrapping her arms around my legs and hugging me tight while going ‘awww, mummieeee!’
  • when she is led down, if I go to lie down next to her she throws her arms out and wraps my head in a big bear hug
  • if she’s already downstairs with dad watching telly, when she hears me coming down she runs to the gate, squeals excitedly and calls out ‘mummyyyy!’
  • I let her have a (very milky) cup of tea Roth me after nursery a few days one week.. and now when we get home she runs straight over to the kettle saying “tea? Tea!”, she helps put the teabag and the milk in the cups, it’s so sweet.
otterbaby · 14/06/2021 15:53

Exactly the same! My 8 month old is just the light of my life. She makes my heart skip a beat constantly 🥰

Bunglemom · 14/06/2021 15:54

@Muddydoor me too lol! although am by beautiful canal

katmarie · 14/06/2021 15:56

My three year old says 'I love your hair mommy' and twiddles it when hes tired. I've never liked my hair. But now I love it too.

My little girl is 18 months old, and her cheeks are so soft, and when she's tired she just snuggles into me and settles, and she doesn't do that for anyone else.

They both make me feel like I have secret magical powers :)

PinkPlantCase · 14/06/2021 15:57

I found out that I’m 1cm dilated and my cervix is very favourable Grin (sorry for the very personal info haha) so hopefully I’ll be meeting baby in the next few days Grin so excited.

bookh · 14/06/2021 16:07

A www these are all so lovely. Thank you for a much needed smile.

My older dd2 says luff you mummy. That's another heart bang moment.

She's been a little indifferent to baby, but now knows if she ruffles babies hair, baby laughs. Oh my heart.

Mine aren't little anymore but my middle is at Uni sent me a little selfie of her reading on the grass in the sun. It makes my heart sing to think she's safe, happy and wanted to show me what she was up to.

30degreesandmeltinghere · 14/06/2021 16:10

Sat drinking a coffee in the garden before work today and my dcat came and shared my muffin!!

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 14/06/2021 16:25

The other day DGS (3) came and sat on my lap because I'm warm and squashy.

roarfeckingroarr · 14/06/2021 16:30

My almost 8 month old says "mamamammamamamammamama" and wraps his tiny arms tightly around my neck. I don't know if it counts as his first word but he doesn't say dadadada Wink

maddiemookins16mum · 14/06/2021 16:51

My 17 year old has dimples. She’s flipping gorgeous.

LemonPeonies · 14/06/2021 16:51

This thread is wonderful 😊 my 18 month old gives me big squeezy cuddles and his new favourite phrase is "ah ah atchoo "! Makes my heart melt ❤

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 14/06/2021 17:01

Dd6 this year has suddenly developed freckes on her cheek. Looks so cute.

My young boy cat I've nicknamed freight train. He rushes into the bedroom and onto the bed at the speed of a train and knocks everything everywhere Grin
