Stupid question alert - what the hell are these?

I don’t think I can put a photo in the OP so will put it in post 2, but they’re like multicoloured small hemispherical rubber moulds, and I’m seeing them everywhere in poundshops etc but have no idea what they are.

Yes I’m an old fuddy duddy. No I can’t Google them because I’m. It sure how to start. I don’t know which would be more embarrassing, that they’re a drug thing and I thought they were a toy, or that they’re completely innocent and I thought they were drug related.

They’re just a fidget toy. Smile

Loserinlove · 13/06/2021 18:06

Fidget toys

Groovee · 13/06/2021 18:07

Fight toys

PacifyLulu · 13/06/2021 18:07

No idea but I want to know.
Ice cube trays?

Eileen101 · 13/06/2021 18:07

Ooh I've been wondering that too, saw them hanging up in a market the other day and was flummoxed.

dollophead · 13/06/2021 18:07

Fidget toys. Like everlasting bubble wrap.

Groovee · 13/06/2021 18:07

They’re like fake bubble wrap.

MaloInAnAppleTree · 13/06/2021 18:07

Oh! I had literally no clue. Thanks, you can see why I couldn’t Google.

What’s a fidget toy?

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 13/06/2021 18:08

Yes fidget toys. Ds has one.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 13/06/2021 18:09

Pacify literally something to fidget with.

iklboo · 13/06/2021 18:09

@PacifyLulu - toys you fiddle with to distract yourself, keep your hands busy or relax.

LordOfTheOnionRings · 13/06/2021 18:09

Everlasting bubble wrap essentially! My 17 month old loves them!

TwoZeroTwoZero · 13/06/2021 18:11

Poppers. As above, fidget toys. Almost every child in the class I covered on Friday has one!

BrownEyedGirl80 · 13/06/2021 18:11

The primary I work in has them.

StoodOnALine · 13/06/2021 18:12

You can play a good game with them. 2 players. Take turns to pop any number of bubbles within a row, then the next person does the same and so on... the loser is the person who has to pop the last remaining bubble.

Then flip over and play again!

Not the most riveting for adults (!), but young kids love it.

shoofly · 13/06/2021 18:12

My 10 year old says they're 'the new fidget spinner' he tried to explain to me what they were and I had no idea. He suggested we went to the cheap book shop in the shopping centre on Friday after school and he was right £3 for a weird bubble popping fidget toy. Latest craze in school.

BadlydoneHelen · 13/06/2021 18:13

They are the soon to be banned latest primary craze- kids fiddling with them non stop!

SlipperFeet · 13/06/2021 18:15

They're called Pop-its round here!

Lulola · 13/06/2021 18:17

Things that kids argue they allowed to play with in school because they help them concentrate- they don’t!

Gubanc · 13/06/2021 18:23

They look like they could also be used as a lick mat for animals who eat too fast. Smile

withiceplease · 13/06/2021 18:24

I'm so glad this was asked! I've been wondering too
I didn't know if drug related as sold on a market I saw with rizlas and bongs! Or some sort of mould for something that small children do which makes a ton of mess and I was quietly pleased DC too old for such things

SimonJT · 13/06/2021 18:26

Fidget toys, they’re great, they keep my son entertained for at least 20 minutes, money well spent.
