So. I was listening to Zoe Ball this morning and Joe Wicks came on which got me thinking...

He's a really nice bloke. But I really don't like him! So unmanly and squeaky of voice!

Same with Michael Ball. Annoying grin and smugness!

This is totally lighthearted by the way, but are there any celebs that are totally lovely, but you can't stand them? And why?

Seriously?! 🙄 I think the majority of people who dislike him do so because he comes across as a smug, 'up his own arse' git who would talk down to people and actually believes his own hype. As a fatty myself who can't stand JC, I can catagorically state it's nowt at all to do with his size.

Yes, that has made me dislike her even more if it's true. They are worth around £8 million apparently so disgusting if she did claim it

There's so much to be said for not owning a television and having no concept of celebrities outside of your own special interests.

I don't know who most of these people are, but I can imagine that you're all justified in your irritation with them. I loved reading the story about Ainsley Harriot with the MNer's DS who had ASD, though. That was lovely.

Not sure if she really counts as a celebrity but for me, it's Greta Thunberg. I really hate saying that. I actually agree with much of what she says. She is a fellow environmentalist and autist. On paper, I should adore her. However, the way she comes across turns me off - do you seriously think that the fact that you are refusing to go to school will make huge co-operations think twice about what they do to the planet? I won't criticise her beyond that, though. It wouldn't be fair.

As for David Attenborough, I personally don't mind him. I don't like the way the younger, privileged, "woke as a joke" crowd have jumped onto him and made him one of their own. However, I recognise that this isn't his fault. He's been around for years, after all.

It's interesting that Laura Whitmore comes up quite a bit. I had never seen her before she was on Strictly and I took an instant dislike to her because she reminded me so strongly of the cool girls at my all girls school. The type that weren't really bullies but just reminded you that you weren't a cool girl with little comments that were disguised as helpful advice and only have a proper conversation when they want something from you. I find with Strictly that I form opinions about people in the opening show but often gradually change my opinion over time so I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but still couldn't stand her when she left. She and her professional (Giovanni) couldn't stand each other and he is generally very sweet to his celebs.

I agree about Giovanni, he was wonderful with Debbie McGee.

Laura totally made a tit of herself over the 'baby name' palaver. She's an absolute tool.

Zoe Ball winds me up so much. Her morning show is too bright and breezy and it feels as if she is reliving her youth with the music.
I've never liked Elaine Paige, no idea why but she seems false.
Probably both are lovely people and it's me with the problem! Never met either of them ( never will )

I used to listen to a running podcast hosted by Jenni Falconer. I don't know which bit of Scotland she's from but I really can't bear her accent, it really grates on me so I had to stop listening.
