Period knicker recommendations since modibodi fucked up with their marketing?

I was so close to buying some modibodi period knickers but after seeing the headlines and a post on here I want to use another brand. But which one?

I experimented with some Primark ones at the weekend, was pleasantly surprised. Admittedly it was in conjunction with tampons but still...
Might buy some more!

Bagelsandbrie · 11/06/2021 14:13

Primark are good. Or the new Bodyform ones.

VodkaSlimline · 11/06/2021 14:14

Have seen the Primark ones recommended on Mrs Gloss (Facebook group) recently - I'm going to give them a try.

DD has the Primark ones and really rates them.

I missed the modibodi brouhaha, did they disappear down the rabbit hole of labelling women 'menstruators'?

Yes. Absolute fools.

I've found that Marks and Spencer ones are brilliant, and Cheeky Wipes ones are good too. Not tried Primark though, may have to give them a go myself!

I got them for DD to try because they're affordable (she uses reusable pads, too) and she really likes them.
PuffinPeter · 11/06/2021 14:53

Cheeky wipes ones are good.

Thinnerlikeachickendinner · 11/06/2021 15:08

Whhhhhhat, how much are the primark ones?

On a massive budget but just forked out £12 for one pair of M&S ones just to try them (i hate thinx apart from one style).

Thinnerlikeachickendinner · 11/06/2021 15:09

Sorry on a massively STRICT budget, I wish I had a massive budget Grin

To be fair, they "only" referred to them as "people who menstruate" which is slightly less offensive.
sometimescharlottesometimesnot · 11/06/2021 15:11

wuka. incredibly comfortable and I think fairly ethical

SoupDragon · 11/06/2021 15:11

Someone did a review of the Primark ones - she wasn't impressed. OK for light days but not great for anything heavy.

alamene · 11/06/2021 15:11

I love the Cheeky Wipes ones.

bobby81 · 11/06/2021 15:12

I’ve tried a few different brands & my favourites are M & S. £12 a pair but they do a 4 for 3 offer so they work out a bit cheaper.

eatitgood · 11/06/2021 15:13

Bonds

AtrociousCircumstance · 11/06/2021 15:15

Yeah this has stopped me buying from them too. Thanks for all the recommendations 👍🏻

SiulaGrande · 11/06/2021 15:19

Wuka been good for DD overnight and fairly heavy flow. Easy to get as in Sainsbury's.

PioneerWoman · 11/06/2021 15:20

My DDs first period this week, the plan was to buy from modibodi. Literally have been looking on their website this week. Not any more. I am a woman.

I will look at Cheeky Wipes, Wuka and M&S.

sometimescharlottesometimesnot · 11/06/2021 15:24

wuka on their website. state for women , girls and trans men....

Finally, a company that knows how you do actual inclusive language without erasing women!

OP I don’t know if you’re open to other types of sanpro but I use reusable pads which I bought from Etsy which I find a good option as obviously you don’t have fit issues like with period pants.

PioneerWoman · 11/06/2021 16:04

Ordered from Wuka, they had a good range of styles. You can exchange after 40 days for a different style if you need to, handy for a new customer. I have no problem with “for women, girls and trans men”, very sensible.

Everyday21 · 11/06/2021 16:11

Thank you all. I will have a good look tonight. I have some reusable pads but I use a moon cup these days so would like some knickers for the tiny bit of leakage and night time (I find the pads a bit thick for nights)

OP posts:
CantEnjoySummer · 11/06/2021 16:12

I have a few different and the cheeky ones are by far the best for night time.
