Non alcoholic drinks - which are actually nice?

I did a search but two words are too much for the search. Also could be worded as alcohol-free I guess. Grin

I’m seeing loads of new alcohol free drinks. Any of them taste nice?

Seedlip citrus is nice. A good gin type flavour. Good with tonic water. It is expensive though.
The non-alcoholic version of Martini is pretty good with a mixer.
I like several of the Fever tree range, tonic waters and the blood orange or the lime soda. None of them are too sweet.

Aldi non alcoholic cider

Stellashere · 10/06/2021 22:00

Brooklyn special effects lager and a brew dog one - think its called AF. Both don’t taste alcohol free.

Water, coffee and tea are all nice.

Bookaholic73 · 10/06/2021 22:01

I love the Kopperberg AF ciders, especially the Lime & Strawberry.

I don’t rate any AF wines though, they are all disgusting

TheFlis12345 · 10/06/2021 22:01

M&S have a lovely alcohol free Prosecco.

colouringindoors · 10/06/2021 22:03

Fever tree soft drinks - the tonics are good - they also do raspberry and rose, rhubarb, blood orange sparkling drinks.

Bksjshsbbev2737 · 10/06/2021 22:04

M&S fizzero (alcohol free Prosecco) is really nice; I’ve tried quite a few alcohol free products and it’s the best I’ve had

Twatterati · 10/06/2021 22:07

I really enjoyed Nosecco from Asda (I don't think it's their own but can't remember). It was a really good substitute and not too sweet.

I've also had the Aldi non- alcoholic cider and it was lovely, again not too sweet, just crisp and refreshing.

Non-alcoholic red wine was awful though! Far too realistic for me (I used to have a bit of a problem with red wine drunkenness and it reminded me of that same feeling).

Some great suggestions on this thread.

BringMeTea · 10/06/2021 22:07

Kombucha.

I also really like the Kopperberg alcohol free.

I'm also a diet coke fiend. I'm partial to ginger beer as well.

Thewinterofdiscontent · 10/06/2021 22:15

I think the M&S pink “wine” is the only thing I’ve tried that vaguely resembles alcohol. Watered down and left on the side for an hour or two wine, but it’s almost there.

All the Prosecco tastes like Sholer.

One of the Fever Tree tonic tastes good with a bit of bite but it’s one thats only in Waitrose .

Becks Blue is my go to. Pretty much tastes like larger. In the sun. If you really don’t think about it too much.

Redpriestandmozart · 10/06/2021 22:16

I like all the non-alcohol prosecco type drinks from Tesco or Sainsbury's but I'm onto my 5th bottle of this juniper flavouring. I add it to tonic and it's like drinking gin & tonic especially with Fevertree.

RightOnTheEdge · 10/06/2021 22:20

I don't like cider so I'm not really sure myself but I work in a large pub and Kopperburg strawberry and lime non alcoholic is pretty popular.

RightOnTheEdge · 10/06/2021 22:22

Kopperberg! Blush
Stupid phone keeps changing it.

CarnationCat · 10/06/2021 22:23

I like:
Lime cordial and tonic or soda
Elderflower cordial and sparkling water
Coke zero or diet coke
Becks Blue
Fentimans rose lemonade

BikeRunSki · 10/06/2021 22:25

Erdinger AF beer

I also like tonic water and orange juice

PioneerWoman · 10/06/2021 22:27

Drinking cold Becks Blue right now, I bought a big case very cheaply. I like that the bottles are small, I found a pretty beer glass in a cupboard and a bottle fits in it perfectly. I have a terrible New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc habit (a cliche I hate) which I need to kick.

I should say I never drink real beer so not sure if my recommendation counts. Worth a try!

A little 275 ml bottle only has 39 calories and doesn’t make me crave crisps etc unlike the wine.

UsernameTaken76 · 10/06/2021 22:29

I drink Koppaberg pear free cider, nozeco from Sainsbury’s the rose and normal are both really nice! Have also started drinking the McGuigan Sauvignon blanc still tastes the same as the alcohol version.

I wish I could find something similar to a whisky as sometimes a night cap would be a nice way to end an evening.

LunaNorth · 10/06/2021 22:31

Everleaf from M&S is a gin-type drink that’s gorgeous with tonic.

Also Aecorn.

Try Free Spirit. The nightcap one does that burny whisky thing.
PenguinBarnotBird · 10/06/2021 22:34

Ooh can’t wait to try the kopparberg AF thanks for recommendations

One I like is the Aldi elderflower tonic water - served with lots of ice and some slices of lime Gin

HappyAsASandboy · 10/06/2021 22:41

Heineken zero beer, or becks blue beer if no Heineken.

Gordon's alcohol free g&t bottles

Belle&co 0% sparking wine

Candleabra · 10/06/2021 22:45

I don't like fake alcoholic drinks at all.
I really like nice cordials, but the expensive ones that are more like syrup (bottle green etc). With with fizzy soda or just water. Elderflower or rhubarb ones are lovely and definitely feels like a treat drink.

MrsW150917 · 10/06/2021 22:46

Best AF lagers - Perlenbacher (Lidl) & Heineken 0%

Best AF cider - the koppabergs

Best AF gin - not a fan of all the ones I've tried but probably CeroCero from Aldi was the best of a bad bunch

Best AF wine - The Eisberg ones (especially the red)
Freixinet is a nice sparkling one from Tesco

Best AF whiskey - Lyre's American Malt (online)
