If your grandchild was given your childhood pet name what would they be called?

Thankfully my pet name died out when I was very young or I'd really pity any future great grandchild been called Didding.
What horror could be inflicted on yours?

The wider family would include Humpty, Doodle, Mush and the Interferatron 3000 (he was much younger than his siblings!).

Cheese. My sister was Lemon. Can you guess our names?

mommybunny · 09/06/2021 18:26

My great granddaughter would be called Fussy. I miss my dad 😪

Interestingly one of my mom’s pet nicknames was CeeCee (her name is Patricia but one of her siblings said it that way) and my DD has a name that could have been nicknamed to CeeCee but she won’t have it. (And now I think of it, DMIL’s initials were also CC…)

Sunshine... apparently I was a very happy child.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 09/06/2021 18:53

I mainly just had short forms of my name.
mum would call us darling or "little heart" (the Hungarian word doesn't translate well).
dad would sometimes make up stuff that was situation dependent. I've been always messy so he'd call me "tiny rooster" when entering my room - because he used to say I was like a little rooster contentedly sitting on a heap of rubbish🤣

we have lots of names for our kids.
some are derived from their names (can you guess first names of Bammers & Moxter?) some are just random stuff.
my youngest has very skinny legs and currently looks like a vampire due to 2 missing teeth so I call him Knocky Knees and Mr Fangs🤣

Evergibbon · 09/06/2021 18:54

Fatty
