Where's my period?

Not pregnant. Not on hormonal contraception. Not any more stressed than usual. No weight loss/gain or extreme exercise. No jet lag or travel (I wish). They're all the things my period app suggested. Normally regular and now 10 days late. I've made a drs appointment but have to wait a week for it. I'm baffled.

Oh and be warned - mine was a lot heavier and trickier to deal with

freesolo · 04/06/2021 12:33

My period was 12 days late 2 months ago (first period after my second vaccine) and my next one 20 days late, this has never happened before so I am assuming it's the vaccine

Dinky2004 · 04/06/2021 12:37

My period was 25 days late after I had the vaccine, they have always been very regular and never more than 1 day late usually.
I even did a pregnancy test much to my DP amusement as I was sterilized 17 years ago Grin

Mine was about 12 days late. Did 3 panicked pregnancy tests before googling impact of vaccine !

emeraldcity2000 · 04/06/2021 12:41

And also found it heavier, more painful and was knackered x

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 04/06/2021 14:01

I had a chemical Pregnancy after my first jab (AZ) second one and my period has apparently fucked off altogether. Defo not pregnant I was told to test again 3 weeks after the chemical and it was very much negative.

wineymummy · 04/06/2021 14:08

How funny. I had some random spotting earlier this week (a week before I am due on). And had my first jab 2 weeks ago. (Before anyway says anything yes I will keep an eye on it and yes will go to the GP if it keeps happening and yes my smears are up to date.)

Icanflyhigh · 04/06/2021 14:26

I do love this site! Mine too was over a week late after first jab and a week early after 2nd..... I never considered it may be vaccine related!

Imonlydoingwhatican · 04/06/2021 14:34

My 1st jab delayed my period for 10 weeks, so much so that by my 2nd jab i had only had 2 days of bleeding so far. That was 2 weeks ago so we will see what happens going forward.

CatsPyjama · 04/06/2021 14:36

I was also late this month and had my Covid jab in May.

AGirlsGotToDo · 04/06/2021 14:39

My covid vaccine delayed mines by a whole cycle, so probably that.

SoupDragon · 04/06/2021 15:28

This might be something to report here:

Brogues · 04/06/2021 15:52

After my first jab my period was a week early. Waiting on the second period and second jab to see what happens next.

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 04/06/2021 15:56

@boygirldogcatmousecheese there are loads of cases (somewhat worrying!) if the vaccine delaying periods by days and sometimes up to months causing a great deal of worry for women. It's been reported MG many women that when they finally do come they're extremely heavy and also extremely painful.

There's been numerous threads on this. Here's one:

This is interesting/concerning regarding heavy menstrual bleeding.

SnowBrussels · 13/06/2021 19:37

Update: it finally arrived 2 days after the second Pfizer dose but was no heavier/more painful than usual.
I’m interested to see what happens next.

boygirldogcatmousecheese · 14/06/2021 11:53

Glad to hear it @SnowBrussels - I'm now 20 days late ☹️
