Getting it in a month's time but from Monday I am hitting the gym and will soon be on a liquid diet for prep.

So I'm giving my self this weekend to have a feast.

What would you have?

Bacon sandwich
Massive jacket potato with mature cheddar or really good baguette and stinky cheese
Takeaway (definitely involving some chips)
Sticky toffee pudding and clotted cream

All the carbs!!

ScabberPig · 22/05/2021 08:12

I'm with you on the sticky Toffee pudding and cream!

Hmmm I'd have a lot of beautiful ripe soft cheeses and Tyrells crisps.

Maybe a jacket potato loaded with butter and chopped crispy streaky bacon.

Good luck with everything! Flowers

Bread.
Granary bread.

Honestly? I think I'd try to eat healthily.

Vinto · 22/05/2021 08:16

A takeaway.
Sunday dinner.
Burger and chips

ScabberPig · 22/05/2021 08:25

@Oenanthe, my op is a month away, I have been eating healthy, I've lost 16lbs recently and plan to loose another stone before my operation (because of the liquid diet needed to shrink the liver) , don't begrudge me a last big meal. Grin

I had a sleeve 9 years ago. I can't remember what I had as my last meal, but since the bariatric team recommend no alcohol I'd have a drink!

Remember that in time you might still be able to have your old favourites, but I still struggle with bread and pasta.

Hope you're op goes well Flowers

ScabberPig · 22/05/2021 08:43

I don't drink. Or smoke. I know lots of people enjoy those things a last time before the op.

My vice is (sugar free) fizzy drinks which I am giving up Monday too.

OP posts:
TheQueef · 22/05/2021 08:46

Fizzy drinks are like broken glass after.
What's your fave crunch? It'll be a while on liquids and mush so get crunching while you can.
If you like a big salad i.e. Chewy meat like steak too.

PivotPivotPivottt · 22/05/2021 08:50

Chicken balls, fried rice, chips, soft noodles, spring rolls, spare ribs, curry sauce and prawn crackers Grin

Agree with this.
booksandhearts · 22/05/2021 09:09

I would definitely have a donner meat calzone + chips cheese & garlic (from my local takeaway) Plus a tub of cookie dough ice cream to wash it down!

I'm currently dieting for my wedding and thinking of that is making me question my diet Grin

Good luck!

booksandhearts · 22/05/2021 09:10

garlic mayo**

ScabberPig · 22/05/2021 09:13

I think I might order a curry with all the trimmings tonight.
And have a fry up tomorrow morning.

I appreciate your concern but 2 days of indulgence really won't make a difference in my journey :)

OP posts:
TheQueef · 22/05/2021 10:05

Are you doing milk or yoghurt for liver?

ScabberPig · 22/05/2021 10:14

Meal replacement shakes, exante.

OP posts:
Babymeanswashing · 22/05/2021 10:16

Hmm I deliberately had a ‘final feast’ before embarking on a strict diet.

I had chicken korma, a bag of skittles and a chocolate orange Grin

TheQueef · 22/05/2021 10:17

That's not too bad, at least they have a taste and you won't be off yoghurt forever Grin

justanotherneighinparadise · 22/05/2021 10:17

Oh gosh I don’t know. Maybe a takeaway.

crossstitchingnana · 22/05/2021 10:20

This is such an unhealthy attitude to have.

CliftonGreenYork · 22/05/2021 10:20

I has a gastric sleeve 3 years ago and its been amazing. I am able to eat anthing but in much smaller portions. I only struggle with meat, so maybe eat lots of that.

Babymeanswashing · 22/05/2021 10:21

This is such an unhealthy attitude to have.
Why?

OP is, has been and will be eating healthily.

Can the healthy eating brigade explain why they think 2-3 treat meals over a 48hr period, one month before the op, will pose any kind of a problem?

Another vote for big takeaway OP. And a really nice breakfast, scones with clotted cream and jam, and a full on roast dinner. Cake
