I'm 35.

I’m nearly 50 and I have a pair

DrHWeasley · 20/05/2021 21:04

Maybe a controversial opinion, but I don't think anyone over 10 looks good in them.

However, if you want them, get them.

Horehound · 20/05/2021 21:04

I just bought some cause I'm pregnant.

Yeh go for it!

Verbena87 · 20/05/2021 21:04

I love mine. I’m 34. I couldn’t give a toss if they look good; they are comfy and have massive pockets.

nomorespaghetti · 20/05/2021 21:07

I’m 35 and have several pairs. I bloody love them. Anyone who takes issue with dungarees is just grumpy because of their restrictive waistbands.

Popskipiekin · 20/05/2021 21:08

Yes. I have two pairs. I’m 36. They’re comfy and I think I look fab. Who cares what anyone else thinks? DS1 is slightly embarrassed and says I look silly, and yet I doggedly persevere in my dungarees wearing.

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 20/05/2021 21:09

I am 36 and love mine! My 71 year old mum admired them so I got her some for her birthday... she looks fab in them!

KindergartenKop · 20/05/2021 21:09

Not pregnant, don't want to be mistaken for pregnant. 11.5 stone and 5 foot 8, is that permissable for dungaroo wearing?

StarShapedWindow · 20/05/2021 21:12

You’ll have to try them on and see how they look. I looked like a teletubbie from the back so they went back!

Twospaniels · 20/05/2021 21:12

No!
They belong on 3 yr old children

A woman at work who is 60 wears them and looks ridiculous

SilverNotGold · 20/05/2021 21:16

I looked like a washing repair man, which wasn't quite the l

SilverNotGold · 20/05/2021 21:16

^look I was aiming for 😄.

KindergartenKop · 20/05/2021 21:16

My arse is disappointingly flat. Does that help or hinder @StarShapedWindow ?

PaperMonster · 20/05/2021 21:21

Yes. I’m 52 and I wear them.

TheFairyCaravan · 20/05/2021 21:22

Yes. I’m 50 and love mine

farnworth · 20/05/2021 21:26

Yes yes yes
I am over 50, have two pairs and they make me feel and look happy!
Any item of clothing that makes you feel bouncy and positive is a winner...
Go for it
You too can feel really happy and full of life!!

KindergartenKop · 20/05/2021 21:53

I'm bidding on a pair!!!

OP posts:
scatteredglitter · 20/05/2021 21:56

so i see people on instagram that can pull them off, when i see them in reality they just don't look as good on adults. kindof like adults are trying to look infantile. I like the look but haven't met anyone who can pull it off successfully >30

Craftycorvid · 20/05/2021 21:58

Heavens, you ancient crone of 35! Wear only what makes you happy - at any age.

Nohomemadecandles · 20/05/2021 22:01

So jealous! I'd love them but I'll look like Hagrid!
Get them!!

NoMontaguesOrCapulets · 20/05/2021 23:09

I love dungarees, and dungaree dresses. I am a 41 year old who has just bought a dinosaur print tea dress. Wear what makes you happy!

Piemam · 20/05/2021 23:10

Get them. In my 40s and match my toddler. Couldn't give a damn if people are appalled. I mean, I have to look at other people so 🤷🏾‍♀️

DramaAlpaca · 20/05/2021 23:15

God no. My no doubt very unfashionable opinion is that wearing dungarees if you are over the age of three should be banned.

Though I admit I did have a lovely pale yellow pair in the late 70s, when I was a tall, very slender teenager. Wouldn't go near them now, in my 50s and no longer quite so slender.

FlyingPandas · 20/05/2021 23:21

For a baby or toddler, yes yes yes. I was obsessed with them when my 3 were babies. I think I owned 12 pairs of age 3-6m dungarees at one point for DS3! Absolutely the best item of clothing for small children I’ve ever bought - practical and cute.

But once over the age of being potty trained they should never be worn. Ever.

SavannahLands · 20/05/2021 23:22

I loved my maternity dungarees, l even wore them after DD was born as they were easy and discrete to BF from. I also had a couple of dungaree style dresses, great for mixing and matching with various T-shirt’s or tops and they washed so well that l was still wearing them when DD 5 came along!
