How quick for PCR test results? Anyone had within 24hours?

Just wondering how quick I'll get PCR test results back. Have been told anywhere between 24 hours and 4 days. For business reasons I could really do with knowing sooner rather than later and just wondered if anyone had had them within 24 hours?

I delivered mine (asymptomatic test so was able to drop it off) at about 2 pm yesterday. Got my results 7 am this morning.

I got mine in approx 8 hours.

Have had multiple swabs in our family and all back within 12ish hours

Yes. Test at centre about 10am on a Sunday. Results about 8am the next morning

Got mine after 10.5 hours yesterday.

My last one went off at 1230pm and I had the result at 7am the next morning.

About 21 hours two weeks ago.

About 10/12 hours

About 20 hours for ours on Sunday

I did mine at 2.30pm and results were emailed at 4am next day!

Did you all get an email? Wondering if they ring if it's positive? Had to give email, mobile and landline when booking.

Email and text at basically the same time.

Test 0930 yesterday, negative result emailed 0400 this morning.

Mine came back in about 21 hours

My daughter had one at 10:30 on Thursday, the (negative) result was sent via text and email at 19:00 that evening.

One last week was 28hours so a little longer

I had one on Saturday at 11am and got the results at 10am that same night, both text and email.

DC2 had one at 10am yesterday. Got the email at 12:15am past night.

I was thrilled, it meant the kids could go to school / nursery today

19 hours all part of surge testing though.

Test 11am. Result 7:30am the next day.

Test 7.30pm result 8.00 am next day

10am test and 11pm result yesterday! Hope it comes through quick for you.

All of the ones we've done in our family (one last year and four over the last week) all came back at around 6am the following morning regardless of the time of the test. We live in a town near Manchester and used a drive through test centre.

Test last Wednesday 8am. Result not til 4.07pm on Thursday ! 😬 So two full days off school for the DDs and husband couldn’t go to work (I’m WFH so no change).

Fortunately was negative.
