I wound up having to visit two medical offices, one for the blood draws then another to have the electrocardiogram, so that was a bit annoying, but it's done.
It was a gorgeous day to pick strawberries and we came home with some lovely ones. I baked shortcakes and we picked up heavy cream on the way home, so that's dessert pudding sorted for tonight. The men are making pizza.
Bending over to pick the strawberries was harder on my hip than I thought it would be, but it didn't take long to pick our four quarts. They have a lovely store there so I bought a loaf of apple carmel bread, which was delicious with a cup of coffee. It's a working farm. The old tractor is where you walk in from the parking field. By the way, cider in the US is non alcoholic. If fermented, it's called hard cider. This farm has apple orchards, so the cider garden is open in the fall when the apples come in. We'll probably go back in July to pick cherries and blueberries.
The picture of the open field is the strawberry field. The mountains in the background are the Catskill Mountains. The drive up took us through a farming area. I'm so grateful to live in such a lovely place.
It was really a lovely day out but now I'm a bit tired knackered and looking forward to dinner.
