I bought some of those foamy shrimps and bananas from Asda last week - was really looking forward to them and DH ATE THEM ALL! 😵
So, I bought two packets yesterday! I am just sitting down with tea and bag of said foamy delights - goodness I forgot how amazing they are!
What's your sweet favourites?

Asda do great sweets, don't they? I know the foamy shrimps and bananas of which you speak. They were a mainstay of our office 'table of shame' along with the cocktail flavoured jellies they do.
But in answer to your question, I think I'd have to go with jelly babies. Classic. Although I do love a liquorish allsort but I have to be in the mood.

My kind of thread. I like those foam rhubarb and custard pencils. That are pale pink, yellow & green.

I've rediscovered fruit gums of late.

I used to love a spearmint chew.

diddl · 15/05/2021 15:23

Maybe not the best, but this has made me think about friut salad & blackjack sweets that I had as a kid.

I do still like wine gums & fruit pastilles.

Parma violets anyome??Grin

Jelly beans. I would have said jelly tots but they ruined them when they changed the shape.

Happycat1212 · 15/05/2021 15:25

Bon bons or jelly beans

somewheresorted · 15/05/2021 15:27

The foam mushrooms - amazing!

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 15/05/2021 15:28

Obviously foam shrimps and bananas are right up there, but I'm partial to skittles and fruitless too.

IhaveMyMoments · 15/05/2021 15:28

Chewing nuts
Cola cubes
Jelly beans
The fizzy fangs
And jellies that aren't the haribo type jellies, so for example the big strawberries.
We have a old fashioned sweet shop local that's been there 50 odd years and it's just heaven I spend far too much when I go there.
I now want to go there when dh gets in

ConfusedAdultFemale · 15/05/2021 15:29

Blackjack and fruit salad!

FelicityPike · 15/05/2021 15:29

Asda sour rainbow belts.

Davros · 15/05/2021 15:35

Maynard's milk gums in milk bottle shape. Can't get authentic tasting ones since M&S ruined their recipe

Coconut mushrooms, and fizzy fish are my favourites!

ArnottsUnderpass · 15/05/2021 15:46

Gold Bears
Jelly beans (the posh type ones)

BurbageBrook · 15/05/2021 15:47

Literally cannot choose just one. But... If i am getting my dream pick n mix, I want...
Foam bananas
Chocolate raisins
Milk bottles
White jazzles
Sour apple boiled sweets
One of those jelly snakes

Strawberry bonbons
Blackjacks

Hardly ever eat sweets because the standard ones in the shops like Skittles, starburst etc just don’t appeal! But special pick n mix ones - yes please.

diddl · 15/05/2021 15:47

Honeycomb toffee.

Is that still available?

custardbear · 15/05/2021 15:53

Cola bottles, those sugar covered ones actually, were a definite favourite as a child ... and flying saucers too 🥰
