I'm self isolating and so BORED!

I don't have the energy to do anything useful and I don't have the mental capacity to learn/read anything constructive. Please tell me what to watch on YouTube! I'm in my bedroom so no access to a tv.

Thanking you all in hopeful anticipation!

I like the Secrets in Plain Sight videos. Really interesting, although the dude narrating is very monotone.

The Timeline channel is full of interesting stuff - I particularly like the Shakespeare Theory one.

History Cold Case channel, mainly ancient bones they've found and they theorise what happened to them.

Loose Change channel, they talk about conspiracies and show real evidence.

Nail career education. Strangely addictive. I don't even like acrylic nails but I've watched all her videos

Bailey Sarian
Stephanie Harlow

Both true crime channels. Hours of content and really interesting. Very different styles between the two but both entertaining.

'Laura Farms' - day-to-day shenanigans on a massive farm in Nebraska. Watch as our plucky heroine talks us through operating massive farm machinery and the ins-and-outs of crop management!

Positano diaries - English woman living in fabulous Italian seaside village over lockdown, gets by with various trips and visits, family lunches and general walking around somewhere beautiful.

Can you get Netflix on you’re device? I have it on my phone. Loads to watch in there.
Alternatively I’ve watched loads of past TV adaptations on my tablet, just search on YouTube for them.

Eamon & Bec on YouTube. They were van life travellers, but due to covid ended up buying a run down cabin in Canada and vlogging the refurbishment.

I'd suggest starting at the point where they bought the cabin and working forwards. The van life stuff was good, but I much prefer their cabin build.

I love 'That Chapter', true crime documentaries that vary from 12-30 mins each so dont take a lot of concentration. Narrated by an Irish guy who has a dry humour and there are literally loads of them.

Chunkymenrock · 10/05/2021 14:39

Little Adventures guinea pigs videos are great. Also, I've been really enjoying old the old Sonny and Cher shows from the '70s, with their little daughter Chastity in them.

Oh, I love her videos - I can watch them for hours! She's so skilful and her voice is really soothing Grin

When I can't sleep I watch videos of the tsunami in Japan. It's not a morbid thing; more a fascination of the forces of nature.

purrswhileheeats · 10/05/2021 19:18

I've watched this one so many times Shock

Bit niche, but - Fascinating Horror. Accounts of true crimes, accidents etc, some of which led to improvements in health & safety, such as fire doors & theme park ride maintenance. No gruesome photos, footage or scary music.

GlamourDaze & OldTVTime for archive footage/informercial type things, apparently mostly for the American market, on a variety of subjects. How to wash the hair, apply makeup, dating advice, advice for newlyweds, cooking... it's all very old fashioned but quite interesting if you're interested in modern social history.

Pecos Hank - stormchaser, some good tornado footage. He's funny.

Justine Leconte - Fashion, French culture, how to dress for your body type etc.

one of my all time fave moments from Graham Norton.

Also, ReacThing. Group of young Korean people (& sometimes a grandmother!) watching stuff, trying out recipes, trying out Western snacks. The grandmother is sweet & very funny.
