Can anyone top this for a lazy start to the day

I’ve just briefly left my bed to start the washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher and robot vacuum. 10 mins later, I’m now back on mumsnet while the magic machines do all my housework for me

I don't have the robot hoover but I love to Potter in the garden in a 'I've been so busy all day' type of way just as dh arrives home when I have been in the bath. Painting toes

I was thinking how long my mother would have spent doing the same tasks back in the 70’s. Think she had a basic washing machine but not much else

Enjoy your day. I've not moved much but I did spil washing powder so I had to actual hoover so I'm resting with Mumsnet and coffee ☕

Your mum would have had a twin tub washing machine and probably had specific wash days

Same here. First day off on a while. Storm outside and no heating! It's freezing . So we are all under duvets and get up now and again to do a quick job. Washing done and next one on. Dh did the kitchen. Ds did his room floor. All back under duvets.

What's your next plan?

I'm still in bed, mumsnetting and DH brought me a coffee.
I haven't been up as I pee'd enough through the night. I may run to the bathroom soon and brush my teeth though. It's gross leaving them so long.

If there's laundry on, or the hoovering done, then it has nothing to do with me.

And knowing my darling husband, that sound I can hear now is indeed the washing machine.
He also just popped in the room this very second to put some of my clean clothes away in my drawers.

Cup of tea in bed got up at 11 as hungry, just finished eating brunch and dp cleaned the stove. Off to majestic, best use of a rainy day

DS and his are suffering with bad colds. We’re watching flushed away in bed and feeling sorry for ourselves. I have had to get up for calpol, tea and cereal so far though

Pouring with rain when I got up, so I'm sitting in my dressing gown on MN. The dogs keep staring at me though, so may have to get dressed and take them out. (We have got a garden, so they're not actually housebound)

Still in bed and didn't wake up till 11am. DC made me a coffee, had a McDonald's delivered. DC emptied and refilled dishwasher and cleaned out the fridge ready for shopping to arrive.

I won't be getting up until 5ish when my DP arrives.

I got a basic Eufy after reading about them on here, it doesn’t exactly do a full hoovering job but it does enough to make everything look a bit fresher after a good trundle around!

Ha, I stayed in bed while DH got up to walk the dog. He’s emptied the dishwasher, made a fry for breakfast, brought it to me while I watched tv, and now I’m contemplating a shower. That’s a lazy start

I made breakfast. That is the sum total of today's achievements. I've been on the sofa all morning under a blanket, now DH is watching the footie in there I'm back in bed with a book. Not doing anything at all today for a changeable, it can wait till tomorrow.
