What day is best for a cleaner

We're getting a cleaner, wahoo!

What day would you say is best? I'm torn between a Monday after the weekend or the Friday before...

Mine comes on a Friday, lovely clean house for the weekend - absolutely love relaxing on a Friday night knowing the house is clean.

I have mine on a Friday and then we have takeaway so the kitchen remains clean and tidy for at least twenty four hours. Grin

However it maybe a case of what ever time slot the cleaner has available, with mine I started on a Tuesday which I hated, but eventually ended up with Friday.

Friday! More likely to have guest over the weekend. You might have to wait for a slot though - we did.

Friday is the best day but hard to come by. However on occasion I've had Monday; with the kids being at school Monday to Friday the house felt cleaner for longer. Some Sunday nights I can't fathom the house was spotless by Friday night as kids crumbs etc

I actually prefer a mid week clean for that very reason - I get to enjoy a clean house for that bit longer!

Friday definately, my lovely cleaner came on a Friday when I was in work. It was lovely coming home to a spotless house, bed covers changed everything. I got to enjoy my Friday evening so much more.

I have a Thursday - close enough to the weekend that it’s still clean, but if I take a Friday off work I don’t have the awkwardness of hanging around!

So, I used to have a cleaner on a Monday and now they come on a Friday. I think it depends what age your kids are. I would love, love to have a cleaner on a Monday again. I have two small kids. My house is clean on a Friday... by c. 10am on a Saturday morning, the place is trashed.

Everyone wants their cleaner on a Friday! I have mine on a Thursday as I trash the house on a Saturday doing other types of housework.

I'm really looking forward to having her! I did think about the Monday and Friday clean, ideally that would be best!

Never a Monday. Thursday for me is most convenient. 1 day to enjoy a nice clean home before it becomes pig stye again over the weekend with the DC at home.

Not a Monday as you have to deal with the BH issue.

I would go for a Thursday as I often finish early on a Friday and wouldn't want to feel like I was in the way.

Thursday is perfect. It means it's still clean over the weekend.

I do slightly compressed hours and have every other Friday off, a Thursday would actually be better!

I have one on a Monday. I like it because it means the house is cleaner for longer as we're not in it as much and I don't mind as much it getting dirty at the weekend because I know the cleaners coming on Monday.

Mine comes on a Thursday, love it - I always try to be out when she comes which would be more of a pain on a Friday. My house is trashed again the second my toddler gets home but that would happen any day!

Our day is Tuesday. Works really nicely . Better that Monday as Sunday nights are so busy getting g ready for the school week ahead. And then the house stays tidy for the rest of the week with kids at school.

Thursday! No issues over public holidays plus a day to enjoy the house without DC (or DH) in it! Saturday and Sunday v relaxed, then Monday to Wednesday just a countdown to her coming again!

I'm a cleaner and Friday is by far the most popular slot. Maybe I should start charging for that day Grin After that, it's Mondays.

I have one customer with an enormous house who has 3 hour slots every Monday, Wednesday and friday. Maybe that's an option if you can't decide? And have enough money!

I hope it goes well. Cleaners are a bit like boyfriends, you sometimes have to try a few to find a decent one that you like. My advice would be to get recommendations and ask for references.

Sorry I meant "maybe I should start charging extra for Fridays. Obviously I don't offer free cleaning. Confused
