What were all the photos of James Nesbitt about?

No idea why they chose someone as well known as James Nesbitt for this role, could’ve chosen any old nobody really since it was just photos. Weird.

It was apparently an in-joke between Jed Mercurio and James Nesbitt. Nesbitt lives in Belfast where LOD was filmed, and kept asking for a part.

@Nith

I just knew that whatever happened, there would be loads of people on her saying how disappointed they are. It happens at the end of every high profile series. There have been so many convoluted, unworkable, and highly fanciful theories flying about that it's inevitable that the writers and producers couldn't hope to top them. People really need to come back to reality.
Ahhh yes the lovely reality of dead silent streets for car chases and huge OCG shoot outs

@Stopstaringatmehenry

Thank you for your reply to a previous Message

It was enormously difficult not to name the 'Terry Boyle' character as 'Tommy Booth' or 'Tommy Boyle' and in the original Message it was decided finally that he was 'Terry Booth'

It was obviously a day when Association Football players of the 1960s and 1970s were in the consciousness including dear old Terry McDermott and even if not a supporter of Liverpool there is a certain pleasure still in being reminded of the personalities of yesteryear

In an article in the Sunday Times Matt Rudd asks 'Why have we subjected ourselves to this ridiculous nonsense?'
And ridiculous nonsense just about sums it up. Some of the dialogue was so wooden it was laughable.
I hope this is the end.

I like the idea that Ted fell on his sword to institute another investigation of Inst.corruption -which makes the final subtitles even more poignant.
The photos of James Nesbitt are in response to some surprisingly effective mind control by me over Jed Mercurio
