She's Hunters daughter, the DNA proves that, but thurwell may be the man she thought was her father. That's the obvious (maybe too obvious) setup.

I'm 99.9% positive it's none of the main three. It would make zero sense if it were. Ted keeps pushing to find H (and is clearly a lovely lovely albeit somewhat flawed fella), also he wouldn't have needed to go to prison to tell Lee banks about Corbett, he'd (definately )just message the OCG. Steve was tortured and chucked down stairs by the OCG. Kate was almost shot by the OCG and was set up to be killed by Ryan.

My money's on Osbourne. There'll be some other twist, possibly Carmichael being secretly decent and not actually a massive knobber.

Firm agree. Osbourne is almost too obvious as he's been signposted throughout the season so another twist is required. I love the idea of Carmichael being secretly decent. Her flaws are to do with personal interaction and lack of judgment rather than being corrupt or corruptible.

Marcus Thurwell is 55 and Jo is 41/42 so seems unlikely though not impossible. She was brought up in Glasgow as well so he would needed to have a stint there.

I'm kind of wondering what Jo said about the OGC being split into disparate elements after Tommy's death, it could alter the way loyalties are portrayed and the need for more than one H. Season 7?

Well ok, probably not but I haven't a clue really.

I think its more likely Osborne is Jo's bent copper dad , or some character we never considered could be bent (hmm),. Thirwell just seems like a non character. His main plot point is how did the OCG know AC12 were on to him? If he turns up alive and a big bad, it feels a bit flat. I want a big bad who has had more of a presence over the series.

Was it clear what the relationship of the man Jo referred to as her dad was to her mum? I thought she referred to her mum as being raped, so I wasn't sure if when she referred to her bent copper dad she meant the man she presumed to be her biological father or a man who brought her up (step dad). Quite a twisted relationship if the former.

Poor Jo her life really is the worst!

Something had to happen to ensure Steve’s addiction doesn’t become known so much money is on him dying. Quite a lot has been made about this being the end of the road for Ted too so I think we’ll be left with a cliff hanger which one of them isn’t going to make it.

Kate is going to put someone in danger because she can’t trust anyone now. Hopefully Carmichael is the one in danger even if she’s deep cover goodie.

I was surprised about them making a bit of a thing about James Nesbitts character dying - I was sure he’d be back....

So, maybe Kate set Jo up to be shot by Ryan will leaving an audit trail looking like Jo was going to kill Kate. However Jo, actually did shoot Ryan while trying to defend Kate. Or maybe it was a ploy set up by Kate to kill Ryan as his cover had been blown. She knew they were being watched and were of no further use.

I think that is a level of complicated Mr Mercurio will not go to.

Carmichael. But I'm really hoping for an explanation about the Scouse woman whose husband was bumped off (Corbett?) because I've no idea what's going on with her, Ted, the £50k, the hair salon job etc.

Hastings gave her the money because he felt guilty that he had ratted Corbett out to the OCG after Hastings found out that Corbett was the son of his informant in NI who was murdered and who Hastings was rumoured to have had a relationship with. And that the only reason Corbett tortured Hastings wife was because the dodgy lawyer had told Corbett it was because of Hastings his mum was tortured and murdered and that Hastings was really H.

The salon was just a cover to explain why she isn’t struggling financially.

I don’t think she’s dodgy, though I could be wrong.
