What was your favourite night out snack?

Mine was chips with loads of garlic mayo. I must have had it several nights a week in uni! Eating after a night out wasn't a thing in my home town so I used to love getting food after a night out!

Actually I'm just thinking back to my early 20s when I went out in town and if we ever got food I'd get a massive portion of spicy spuds!

EvilOnion · 01/05/2021 22:44

Chips and cheese or a stolen slice of pizza 🤣

Eminybob · 01/05/2021 22:45

Kebab shop pizza, preferably ham and pineapple.

Or a chicken tikka kebab on naan with all the sauces.

Cheesy chips with loads of mayo and BBQ sauce!!!

ZenNudist · 01/05/2021 22:59

Chips and gravy usually. Also used to love a kebab. The Sheffield ones were just little pitas but in Manchester were wrapped in a naan.

Also good to go for a late night Indian absolutely hammered. Chicken balti and naan, loads of popadums.

I used to visit my friend who was a student at Exeter Uni and there was a guy selling baked potato's at 2am in the city centre so when our night had come to an end, we'd get one each and pinball our way down the hill back to her digs. Happy days Smile

Nowadays it's a strategic cheese on toast before bed to avoid hangovers.

LostBlanket · 02/05/2021 00:54

Kebab, Kebab shop veg or pepperoni pizza and Kebab shop cheesy chips with salt and vinegar, garlic Mayo and chilli sauce was my favourite late night food on weekends out or home.

Howyoudoingirl · 02/05/2021 00:58

Sausage onion & fried egg bap. Only from the van at the bottom end of town, never from the top van.

Alfaix · 02/05/2021 01:05

Chips or kebab when at school
Uni was either pizza (delivery/ takeaway) or curry (eat in),

ExJasper · 02/05/2021 01:07

Toast with pate and a cup of tea. Sounds almost civilised!

YukoandHiro · 02/05/2021 01:08

I went to university in Manchester. We used to share a Poppolino's spicy chicken and green pepper pizza on the way home. Delicious! Really helped see off the hangovers.

YukoandHiro · 02/05/2021 01:09

And Abdul's as @DragonMamma said.

YukoandHiro · 02/05/2021 01:13

Yeah now I can't stop thinking about about how good a garlic chip naan is. Used to her them from Monsoon after The Ritz

wigjuice · 02/05/2021 02:35

Cheese and piccalilli toastie with a mug of tea.

Full English at the all night diner after a night of clubbing

Dontsayyouloveme · 02/05/2021 03:43

Haggis and chips when I lived in Edinburgh!! 🤤🤤

Fried egg on cheese muffins when I didn’t!!

Frownette · 02/05/2021 04:16

I just cried my eyes out after watching The Bodyguard for the first time and thinking about Whitney and her daughter dying.

So that's sort of a night in out, right? Blush

I then ate lentil casserole. Anything went in Ye Olde Days, hot samosas, pizzas, chips, pies. Sounds like a lot of us have fond fast food memories.

Amdone123 · 02/05/2021 04:57

I am hungry.
I never understood chips, cheese and gravy. And I'm from Up North!
I never ate after a night out. The following day is a different story !

puglife · 02/05/2021 05:07

Chicken parmo and chips!

AdditionalCharacter · 02/05/2021 05:19

Chips swimming in garlic sauce. Could easily demolish that right now.

pollywollydoodler · 02/05/2021 05:29

Egg and chips from Mr Egg in Brum 😋

HuntingoftheSnark · 02/05/2021 05:30

Prawn crackers, at about 3am in Soho after dancing in a club called Ruby's in Carnaby Street. It was a ballet school by day and didn't serve alcohol. It wasn't the place to go in any way but I loved it.
